    Thanks for the comments guys.
To answer the questions – I don’t know why the Challenger was at Bristol, no idea at all. I think I’m correct in saying its not based there either (!). It was nice to see, all the same.
I was standing on a step ladder, yeh, parked up on the lane running around the 09 end of the runway.

    Great pics!
I believe that BY 763 positioned in from BHX because one did leave for BRS while i was at BHX today. Where was it going?

The BY763 was off to Paphos, Cyprus – and yes, it did come in from BHX.

    Thanks for the comments 🙂

    You could try the Travelodge

    http://www.travelodge.co.uk/

The Yeovil one is showing as full, but the Taunton one (18 miles away) shows vacancies for 17-19 September

I’ve just booked the Brighton one for Shoreham this weekend

    Edited to add :

Are you really sure you want to go to Yeovilton, it’s all helicopters, you know! 😀

Dont listen to him – Yeovilton is brill 🙂

The FAA museum is definitely worth a look.
    Excellent, it is 🙂
I enjoyed the Cobham Hall Open afternoon in May, too.

    Nice pics, coanda. 🙂
I watched the flying from the “hill” at the Cribbs Causeway end of the rwy. Some good views of the flying from there – I liked that formation of JP Gnat and Hunter especially.

What time did the Spit/Hurri fly?
I left when the glider did its display.

    Couple of my pics….
