That glider looks like a Vigilant of the ATC? Any ideas? I’m probably wrong, haven’t had chance to fly in one yet.
No ideas, other than it had military reg and was buzzing in and out of RAF Kinloss all afternoon, there was another one and a Cessna doing the same.
I was sitting in a rowing boat on the Moray Firth watching Nimrods come and go from RAF Kinloss, shame I didn’t have my stills camera with me. By the time I got ashore and got it, all there was to snap was a pair of powered gliders doing circuits around the base….
Good work there matey, nice compositions. 😎
At least he got a shot of the thing at last, perhaps they should have taken his remains in a B-1 bomber, wasn’t he responsible for breathing new life into that project as well ?
hopefully awash with topless tarts .
Can I come too ? 😀
I recall their website saying they could paint them up as required, the 146 I flew in was painted in GO livery.
Having seen that livery, I hope they paint them more often. 😮
What’s the point in another crap paint job ? They get painted up by whoever rents ’em don’t they ? ACMI airlines ….
Very interesting Kevin, perhaps I’ll pass a copy onto the dog squad of Strathclyde Police.
Judging by the photo, it would seem the CO 757 only took about 100-200 feet more runway to get off the ground.
Couldn’t have been too full then ?
Of course it may be landing and had it’s wheels photoshopped out ? 😉
Thought we had gotten rid of the trolls who came in and used insulting and bad language here.:(
Flood.â„¢
Still trying to get rid of the CEO’s who use insulting and bad language though !
Well CO already operate the 757 from BHX, and AA operate one from MAN so its not completely unheard of.
No it’s not unheard of but it’s still a long way to the USA from the UK in a single aisle plane, especially when you are bursting for a p*ss and the aisle is full of cabin crew and trolleys.
Incidentally the GLA route used to be a 757 all year round, it’s now a 764 in Summer and a 762 in winter. Perhaps the 757 will return in the winter, we’ll keep our eyes open on the EDI impact for that one I guess.
not sure – it’s a corporate pic so could possibly be a photoshop.
The day they invented Photoshop, was also the day the buried the expression ” The camera never lies”.
Excellent looking A330 all the same ! 😀
When I say a few miles, I mean about a hundred
Ah…..
I’m still waiting for a model which has only got to travel a few miles…
It’s been 16 days now!
Why don’t you pop round and collect it ?
