I’ll be posting some more pics on the commercial forum, but here’s a couple for now at Prestwick today (3/5/04).

She made it to Prestwick today (almost exactly on time). ATC kindly equested a flyby, but those pics along with my other good ones are on my SLR which is still in the dark ages – notdigital. Not sure how long it’ll take me to finish the film and get it developed!

Here are a couple of pics from my digital, although it has a limited zoom, so not great pics.

Darn and blast, the news of the PIK destination being confirmed didn’t come through in time to persuade me to throw a sickie at work and head to PIK.

Not to worry though, I’m off down today with my DSLR and camcorder with the promise of airside access and a tour of the plane Yipee !!!!

Is the tail supposed to be a Scottish flag and the Greek flag w/out the 9 stripes, depending on which angle you look at it?

It’s supposed to be a Scottish Saltire, not quite sure why they’ve upped the ante in terms of the Greece Airlines logo’s ?

Needless to say this is the latest in a long line of Air Scotland liveries over the past year since they began op’s . They’ve had three ACMI providers now and they still don’t look like steadying their ship. Fly Globespan seem to be winning the hearts and minds battle of the two new Scottish loco’s. :confused:

What is the deal with this? It has a Greek registration. :confused:

Air Scotland flights are operated by a set up called Greece Airlines, a new business set up from the ashes of Electra. The planes are on the Greek register. This one is a former First Choice 757.

Summer season sees lot’s of new traffic at GLA, including this newly leased 757 of Greece Airways, operating for Air Scotland. The new paint job is flaking away dramatically from the tail already. It’s only been in Air Scotland service less than a week ! 😮
