Well done Allen – was your photo taken at your local hang out? (by that I mean GLA and not the pub!)
Well actually I was just on my seventh pint when I heard this almighty roar and then….:D
Taken at GLA last September under the approach lanterns early in the morning. Why I could be found hanging around the approach lanterns early in the morning is anyone’s guess !:D  😉
Excellent reading Martin. Can’t wait to hear you roaring overhead in the not too distant future All the best. 😀
Why thenck you my subjects, you may rise.:D
The dvd should be available from around the 20th of April via the above website.
As for my own video projects, still tinkering with the concorde tribute piece for online display. Can’t decide how I want the final look to be like and the bloke from Avion Video want’s a look at it now as well !
The Scottish Airports video will be shot by me over the entire summer, in order that I can build up plenty of footage of different types to include in it. So that’ll not be available until the end of the summer schedule at least. Oh and the Avion guy might be taking an interest in that as well ! Oh dearie me it’s all go at the mo.;)

Underground toilets!!! I presume by this you mean they will be hard to sell on the second hand market
I was under the impression the dowstairs toilet module could be removed and refitted with another type of module or such as rest area or shop. Could this area not be reconfigured as cargo hold ?

AN 22?
Sounds like it.. there’s been one doing the rounds across Europe and to Shannon mainly this past year or so. It visited PIK last year a couple of times.
So there’s quite a lot of them then. Cheers Mark 😉
In the current livery…
I often used to have to drop off television news tapes at the Glasgow, BA cargo centre for air courier to remote studios and centres in the far flung corners. They generally flew on one of these…
There’s a BA cargo centre at Glasgow Airport, unfortunately I was down there yesterday with the Canon 10D and found it almost impossible to get any shots thanks to the construction of the new Terminal 2.
I’ll ask some of my Prestwick friends if they’ve anything useful or you could try mailing Fred Seggie via his site http://www.saap.co.uk he shoots on a Canon D60.
I can supply you with large j-peg’s or shoot some RAW’s of BA planes operating out of GLA if you wish, the cargo activitity tends to be mainly of the mail and newspaper variety and on the Highlands and Islands routes.

That was to position the crew for duty rather than staff travel.
That’s what I meant Skycrusier, crew positioning, wrong choice of words. To expand this further… do many airlines still have staff flying clubs, using general aviation aircraft ? I recall seeing a Piper aircraft in full BA livery years ago.

The problem with commuting using staff travel is that it is on a standby basis with another company. this makes you very low priority to get onboard what can be very busy flights. Not being there is not an option.
Don’t some airlines use their own or chartered planes for staff travel? I’m thinking of the unfortunate aircraft that crashed at GLA carrying Airtours staff to ABZ. Not a good example I know but it was the first time I’d heard of this method of moving staff between airports other than on the actual airliners.
Corporate mudslinging is normally founded in jealousy anyway.
Do you mean the best PTV’s technically or the ones with the best variety of things to watch ?
I like the ones that let you switch between whatever TV stuff they have, external camera views, the flight technical info and route map.

NP 🙂It would seem Flybe have had to agree to not washing their planes in Frog air colour scheme.
Perhaps Frog Air don;t wnat Flybe to outshine them
Possibly a contractual agreement barring them from French airspace with clean planes ? :p

There’s an exhaust port on the starboard side of the fuselage just under the tail.EDIT: you can just make it out in your second photo Allen, notice the hole with the blackening around it, just above the registration on the right side of the fuselage.
I thought that must be it, cheers Sandy. You can see it more clearly in this shot…
