Yeah I accidentally went to one of those at the Belfast Empire a couple of years ago. We just popped in for a pint, found out he was on and as we had arrived before 8pm, got to stay for free ! 😀

It’s fair to say that there is no perfect version of any language spoken en masse, as there are far too many regional variations and colloquial styles.

Mc isn’t an abbreviation of Mac, it means the same thing mind you “son of”. Mac is Scottish and Mc is Irish. Here endeth the history(s) lesson. 😀

Why do people when talking about doing sums say things like “I was never any good at maths” for example, when they ought to be saying “I was never any good at arithmetic” ?

Why does McDonalds sell Big Macs when it should be selling Big Mcs ? “I’ll have a big mick please”

Mibbe it should call itself MacDonalds instead ?
