Yes it’s a Canon 75-300mm with the bonus of the x1.6 digtal factor. I’m not editing in Photoshop yet., I got Photoshop Elements free with the camera but haven’t had the time or inclination to try and figure it out yet.

At the moment I use the supplied Canon software to crop the images and Irfanview to re-size, sharpen and colour/contrast/gamma correct. It’s the simplest way for my simple brain to do the job.

I tried sending one to A.net as a test, but got a message saying “wrong JPG format” or something like that. I’ve not sent them anywhere else but airlinepics.com as they have a high acceptance factor. I used to send to Plane Pictures when I used the 35mm SLR but they were quite picky as well, rejecting the same picture over and over for a different reason each time. I might try them again now I’m digital and editable.

Cheers Dan, I usually run a sharpening filter over them once as my lens hasn’t got optical stabilisation on it. Without that they look a bit soft.

Come to think of it, at one point a tiny bit of paper or something seemed to come out from the door area as they were fiddling with it.

And finally, Mrs Ren’s flight taking off at exactly 1030am. She called me just now to say she’d missed the connection to Singapore ! 🙁

It became a bit of a 757 festival for a while with this arrival and the next departure making it 4 in a row.

Then it was the turn of PH-AHS or Air Scotland/Holland to leave for perhaps not sunnier but definitely warmer climes !

I was still feeling chuffed with myself about the My Travel shots when this Air Malta 737 suddenly appeared from thin air right in front of me at a runway 23 exit none of the other aircraft had been using. Jackpot !:D

In the air at close quarters it looks magic, especially against the deep blue morning sky !

Anyone got any info on the “DA ALLO Airlines operated by My Travel” logo above the doors ?
