Just register for BA e-mail news, which I had already done anyway. Handy for last minute cheap flights and offers.
If they release a Virgin version I may buy that too.
I just ordered the twin Concorde set from BA.com by the way, two corgi models for £15.
D’ya see what I mean ?
Well I’m kind of thinking of Concorde before the inevitable rush to snap up Concorde mementos happens.
I’d really like to get something with a reg I actually flew on just for fun, mibbe I could get a mini me to go with it ? (lol)
I could do with finding out if the Aer Lingus A330 I went to LAX on was EI-LAX ? I didn’t get the reg outbound, but coming back was EI-EWR. If it was indeed LAX on the way out then that’s the Gemini model I have. Anyone know how I could find out such a thing? The flight date was 13/6/02 DUB-LAX.
Other than this I really like the A330/A340 range and the Air Tahiti Nui 340 could be on my list soon. I can’t find a Virgin 744 on the Gemini website, but I’d love one of those, or indeed any Virgin plane in the latest colour scheme.
Maybe Herpa or Dragon wings will have what I’m after, but as I’ve started the collection with Gemini models which are great, I’m tempted to keep continuity and stay with them.
An interesting thing I’ve noticed is that they are great at giving you a sense of the size of the real planes, especially if you sit a model of one you’ve seen in reality next to one you haven’t. In my case the DC-10 really shows what a massive thing the A340-600 must be in real life. It’s about half the length when you sit them side by side.
Wahey !
I got another one bringing the fleet of “Ren Air” to 3 !
Check out this little beaut 😀

It has been a problem on most of the fleet. It’s to do with the reaction between hydraulic fluid seepage and the sticker on the fin.
Cheap dabbitys as my old grandad would have said ! Funny when you look at the two different planes the seepage effect is almost identical.

Never heard of which? JetPhotos? It’s better – you don’t have to pay to use it for a start, and you also don’t need thousands of pounds of photo equipment to get your photos accepted.
That’s what’s good about airlinepics.com, they accept stuff from enthusiastic amateurs and not just pro level photographers. It’s quite a new site BTW, just over 3000 pics so far.
http://www.airlinepics.com is where some of us can be found too.
Me too, I prefer civvy stuff in here but the pics are sh*t hot ! Well done matey !:)
BTW is that A330 practicing it’s Baghdad approach with those fighter escorts ?

Anyone know why the globe is peeling off the tail so quickly?
Maybe Wys would know ? I saw it on at least two of the planes.
Here’s a 767 at Glasgow this afternoon, how your average punter would know the name of the airline is anyone’s guess… ?
Ta ! 😀
And finally… My taxi to Glasgow awaits.
An ATP arrives at a busy domestic apron…
A nice rooftop view from outside the hobby shop.
