I’ll give Cheeko the phrase book Bhoy, What’s Spanish for “Who’s the guy sponsored by Specsavers ? “

    Excellent pics Kev,

Hope you enjoyed your day at Cosford, I’m taking a hastily borrowed digi camera to Seville next week and hope to get some nice pics to show off.

I’ve never heard of them, but they’d sound comparable with digital SLR’s in pricing terms if I’m right. Unless of course they have a very low pixel count at the camera end… Sounds interesting though, let me know if you find them ?

I think a database of mobile numbers may prove very useful nearer the time. I’m willing to co-ordinate and distribute if necessary.:)

Sounds like the same constant battle between the Scottish Highlands and Islands Council and BA/BRA/etc.

Certain rural/lifeline routes should be run by the government at taxpayers subsidy to allow the people who live, work and farm in these communities the availability of air links. It’s not just a luxury, try rushing an injured farmer or premature baby to hospital on the mainland by ferry to give an example of why these links are vital.

Air transport shouldn’t just be run as a business, where airlines cherry pick the profitabale routes and ignore the rest when the purse strings need tightened. This is where nationalised industries have their plus points.

Thanks for the film scanner info T5, I was expecting to pay about £300 for one so that info is useful. Have you got anything you could show on here out of interest ?

    Here’s another 2 from PIK and CD-ROM

Top one is the CD-ROM and bottom the scan, you can tell the scan by the little bits of fluff and hairs that got caught on the glass. I’m off again to Boots to get my other Prestwick stuff onto CD-ROM. Hopefully by late summer I’ll have my own neg scanner and better lenses.

Until then it’s the Spain trip which I’ll be picture posting next week when I return.

Cheers and thank for the explanation, just curious as to your occupation within the aviation biz.

As for the meet, it’s not planned as an annual event, more a one off. I don’t see why it shouldn’t be repeated from time to time though if it goes well.

Some of the guys will be meeting at MAN for the Champions League final as well to see what charters come in. You could possibly try and get to that ?
