it is sad to let her go…. but we need to stop a bit a think…..All goods things must gradually come to an end
True but in this case it’s an enforced ending and there are people who are willing to keep the ending from happening for a few more years yet.
I love this pic, the old and the new side by side.
Tonight’s the night folks, 9pm and it’s not been cancelled again as far as I can see.
I’d never have guessed it was model in the 2nd pic. Very realistic looking.

I don’t think you need a passport as such, but some valid form of identification is required(??) Do quote me if I’m wrong, so a provisional driving license or full driving license should be accepted.
You can also use a University matriculation card or official work ID as long as it has a picture of your phizzog !

I think only webmaster can pin the topic to keep it at the top of the page. If not then I’ll keep adding to it so it stays current until nearer the date.

Had never heard of Highland Airways until very recently and after seeing their website address plastered on rear of the fuselage, I couldn’t bear not to take a look.A limited selection of flights are available with the airline and at incredibly high prices too with distances of no more than 60nm being charged at £120 return!
That’s typical low density pricing for you. It’s more expensive to fly internally in Scotland than it is to get to New York in many cases. I, or rarther my company paid £328 return to get me up and down to Stornoway once !
A lot of these routes are lifeline routes as well, but only the well heeled can afford to use them a lot of the time.
Not sure what they’re building in the foreground at the International apron ?
P.S (apologies for plugging a rival mag) In the current edition of the US “Airliners” magazine there’s a good feature on the 757-300 marking it’s fifth year of service. Lot’s of great pics as well, including Continental, Condor and JMC, they actually complement the JMC colour scheme too. Available in WH Smith.
Hi Wys
G-JMCF it was and as EGNM says, I was at GLA on Tuesday. Don’t know where the TCX flight arrived from but it was at around 4pm.
East Fortune plan to chop off and keep the cockpit of the Comet as an internal exhibit, the rest of the airframe is corroding at a financially intolerable rate from what I hear. It’s going to be scrapped soon unless someone with lots of cash buys it.
Back to work tomorrow and the weekend, might head out to the
Museum of Flight at East Fortune one day next week to see the Comet before they chop it up into teeny pieces !
Other than that, the next photo report will be the Uefa cup final experience which will see me take in Glasgow, Gatwick, Malaga and Seville over 4 days.
Then it may be Shetland in early June for a Question Time programme.
Didn’t know we had the same boss Selsport ? I can’t even get Christmas off if I ask for it the Christmas before. Fortunately he owes me one in this case.
I think from a distance you might think it’s Virgin Atlantic, but nice all the same. Do rap stars Niggaz With Attitude (NWA) have shares in the airline ?
As Del Boy might have said… “Bonnet de Douche” !
