has the new undercarriage leg been fitted yet?
the dijion based example owned by christophe jacquard and oo course mr blairs example based at duxford. well pending the caa allowing them to fly of course:confused:
and of course the possibility of 2 fw190s joining them in the air!!!
thats wicked news fluffy. can’t wait to see her join the fleet. i remember reading that the bbmf will look to acquire another spitfire of a different mark after that. was there any truth in this or was it chinese whispers?
A pair of wings would be nice 😀
oh dear i didn’t know that!! so are the mod gonna put there hand in their pockets or is it more a case of waiting for a donation?
isn’t there an example that has just recently moved from france to the us? was that also a II or a V?
The TFC guys are better placed than me to say, but all 3 furies will be flyers!!
i beleive they are clearing the area around there seafury to continue the restoration. Is alot of the work done on the airframe already?
i take it PP972 is the wizzard investments example that was originally restored but found to have issues with it? Has anybody got any recent pics of it because i’m sure this example had engine runs when it was originally restored?
luvlly jubbly!!
Any idea of what airframe is next off the hawker restorations line? we can do with a few more hurris
Any news on the kindsvater buchon, as i heard a ickle rumour this may be europe bound sometime ago?
3 buchons……….hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm(drools)
are both new airframes owned by the fighter collection or is it on an operate only basis like the friedkin spit?
i take it there own restoration is continuing?
Good times ahead with 2 new furies, a p47g, p40f and twilight tear to return after restoration!!!
Any pics of the p40f yet?
hmmmmmmmmmmm i wonder have much truth there may be in this? i would imagine just jane would need a massive overhaul at coventry like the bbmf lanc for starters.
However, with the dambusters due to be filmed in 2010 who knows? coincidence perhaps?……..
i would very much doubt it but who knows. never say never.
what mustang was escorting her pete as nooky booky iv is already here?
Looks a fantastic lineup indeed, lets hope the guys at tfc get the bits back for the spit and the caa approval for test flights.
Now all we need is this weather to stay…………
At the moment it looks something like:
BBMF SPIT, HURRI, DAKOTA
B17S SALLY B, PINK LADY AND LIBERTY BELLE
13 SPITS
2 P40S
6 MUSTANGS
5 TEAM GUINOT
YAK 3 ‘WHITE 100’
2 GLADIATORS
2 HURRICANES
Then add the TFC, HAC And other duxford based residents and that takes it into the 40’s in terms of numbers. There is due to be 65 or more historic aircraft there.
