    Any news on me 109 as its gone a bit quiet on this front. i’ve only ever seen black 6 the once, at raf bentwaters i think (don’t quote me on that!!), so it would be lovely to see one gracing the skies alongside all those spitfires again! :p

    i know there’s a few mark 1’s knocking around. does anybody have any info on these (i.e who owns them, what status the rebuild is on etc). 😎

    would be wicked if it stays. did paul allen buy it? if so, i thought his intention was to build something from scratch to original spec, like the fw 190 and p-47?

    my comments are aimed at the likes of the people who deal with the lottery cash everybody contributes and how they blow it on the likes of the national homosexual chipmunk ballet, or something rediculous.

    the likes of the bayliss boys, mr grey, and so forth deserve recognition for the jobs they do, and the amount of money that comes out of their own pockets to keep their aircraft in such amazing condition.

    just a quickie, how much would it cost to build a replica from scratch say, rather than use an original airframe? would it be cheaper?

    there;s so much on the horizon for this year. i can think of all these off the top of my head:
    hfl spitfire mk v and mk xvi
    tfc p40 b and that itailian one!! (ITS EARLY IN THE MORNING)
    the hac yak 1
    the breighton buchon and possibly the us me 109 if it tours
    the tim manna seafire
    and of course the sound of a vulcan setting off everybodys car alarms! priceless!

    whats the chance of a repaint in raf desert camo? just imagine the p40 beating up the airfield with the tfc hurri and the new desert camo spit mk v?

    is Ray Hanna retiring or something? the only reason i say this is that its mentioned on hte legends 2005 dvd that it may be his last legends, and also due to the fact that ofmc have scaled down thier operations over the last year or so (from what we can see anyway).

    i sincerely hope he is not as he has been tremendous for the uk warbird scene, well really the world.

    any gossip on this?

    i’m really looking forward to seeing the new HFL MKV in desert camo with the dessert filter on it! it would great if the fighter coollection changed the kittyhawk M to a RAF tomahawk desert camoflage (bearing in mind the p40b is nearing completion) with the TFC hurricane beating up the airfield!! its a shame black 6 is no longer flying. now don’t get me started on that…… 🙁 😡

    FIGHTER COLLECTION P40

    Will they now sell the p-40 they have at the moment or is the p-40b which is being built going to be an addition to the fleet? if they keep acquiring aircraft at this rate they will need another hangar!!!

    Does anybody know who now owns the polikarpov as its still at duxford.

    Also can’t wait to see peter teichmans new paint scheme for the mustang in the ‘tuskegee airmen’ colours. it will look awesome! 😮
