Trumper….yes I agree re the weather in the UK, however this will be trip number seventeen to the UK in the last twenty one years for me, just to attend air shows there. I must say over the years your weather has been kind to me. charliehunt, I concur with you thoughts, whatever I am going ahead and booking my trip today. I will do Shoreham on the 31 Aug and Duxford on the 14 Sep and make my way back to Aussie that night! Thanks guys for you input, always appreciated. Macca

I will have to buy my airline ticket from here in Aussie to London soon for my trip over this coming August, or I will be paying top money for a ticket….any reader have a gut feeling if the Lancs will fly at Shoreham on the 31 Aug???? A long shot question I agree! Macca

Great information thanks mate. I knew of the crash site location, however not about Les Munro, excellent My intention next year is when I once again return to England like I do most years, is to actually go to Ash Holt as described. Once again many thanks for taking the time out and replying.

Chris Gordon means well and I congratulate him for his eagerness, however initial cost, current location,relocation, financial interest from people/companies etc that have the money to support such a large project and all the other factors that would have to be considered, IMO I dont think it will happen!

The Premier of Queensland is Mr Campbell-Newman, ex Major from the Australian Army, knowing our Army officer types he would have had a smile on his face with the sale of the aircraft!
