Pilot- Mark Hanna the most, but none are forgotten. Wish i had been old enough to witness Ormond Hayden-Baillee.

Aircraft- P-38, P-63 and the Mosquito.

It might be a LANCASTER but unless your going to get Alex Henshaw to loop it or at least let us see the so called corkscrew, then it should remain on the ground or up a pole.

Got to be fast, low and all over the place, BBMF bore the pants off me, the should just arrive on the morning and remain in the static park, so we can see them arrive and depart but they won’t interfere with all the exciting stuff.

RE: What’s the gem for Flying Legends then?

When i was at Kermits place the engineer giving us the tour said that it will be completed then shipped straight to the states for testing, he was pretty certain that due to the complexity of the engine it won’t be flown over here.

It looks German to me but i’ll try and find out a little more, probably late WW2.

I have to say the TFC Skyraider has always been well displayed, especially by that lunatic Paul Bohnomme. For someone without a military background he can really put on a show, he is certainly in the same league as the Hanna’s and Ormond Haydon-Baillie.

    Why every other year?
All classic jets should be based at Kemble and all piston power at Duxford.
Then it’s Flying Legends and Classic Jet shows once a month.

It was Stephen Grey’s Bearcat and P-51 he flew, he also flew the Sea Fury, Hunter and Spitfire for Spencer Flack.
I.m not sure what else he flew, but i think he was killed in a Pitts Special in the mid ’80’s.

I think Spitfire 14 G-SPIT followed the Hurricane and the Sea Fury will probably be next the way things look.
Even though i’m sick of Spitfires i would like to see that Mk22 restored and flown.

It’s been like it for 2 days now. Maybe the webmaster is re-vamping it.
