    There is no chance of seeing one at Duxford or anywhere else in the U.K.
    A certain achilles heel called the CAA will see to that.

    These are all taken from various websites from around the world. The one photo i actually took was of Mark taxying in the Hunter after his display, he stopped in front of me removed his mask to allow his huge grin to escape, unfortunately i can’t get it to upload.

    The best place i’ve found for DVD’s is http://www.play.com
    You can usually get movies in region 1 format just as they come on the cinema here.
    They have region 1’s empire of the sun, region 2’s yet to be released.
    The good thing about them is you don’t pay any postage, just the cost of the disc. Prices range from £4.99 and up.
    I got the Final Countdown for £4.99.

    Empire Of The Sun has been available for some time, i got my copy about 6 months ago. Battle Of Britain is supposed to be released in time for Xmas.
    What i want to see released is Strategic Air Command starring James Stewart and The Hunters starring Robert Mitchum.

    I remember talking to Mark Hanna many years ago about getting a hanger buit there and he told me that the IWM would not allow it. He told me of no real reason they just said no.

    Kermits mossie has not flown for the last 10 years because the glue n the wings has deteriated. He is having a brand new set made in New Zealand and he should receive them in the next 12 – 18 months.
    The mossie at the mosquito museum is a high candidate to be restored to fly, i was told on my last visit that the standard of it’s original restoration was so good that it should only take about 3 years to put back in the air.

    I have been wanting photos of the whole of this collection as i have prepared prints of the 3 red ones but can’t find good enough colour photo’s. The Sea Fury, to me looked best just before she was lost when she had the cheatline the whole way along the fuselage and the smokewinders on the wingtips.

    I used to go to a model club years ago, anyway i was told that to get rid of the shiney surface on decals just go over them gently with a pencil eraser and it would remove the shine. It took abit of practice but it worked.
