Mk.IIb onwards I should say, I’ve never seen anything to the contrary, the IIb as far as I’m aware had the same system for firing the 4, 303’s seperate or the 2, 20mm cannons seperate or all the guns together.

Well done Paul a very well deserved award, I have always found you very at ease with the public, answering their and my questions with great knowledge and enthusiasm.Your service to the BBMF has made this collection stronger as your restoration of Spit TE311 shows, your break into the world of warbird journalism with the Haynes books shows what a great asset you are to the UK. warbird movement.
    Once again congratulations Fluffy.:D

Beggers belief dosn’t it? If I were him I’d get some more conversion training, if a Harvard is a bit much he could try a Yak C.11. BBMF fighter pilots don’t touch their Spits all winter just having tail wheel training on the venerable Chippy and flying Typhoons as the day job. They also operate from hard runways which is always more difficult than the grass runway he seems to use at Ardmore.:(:confused::eek:

Glad to be of service, when you have finished your modeling project can we have some pix of them?

What scale are you doing? If it’s 1/72 those new Airfix P.R.XIX’s are just the job, the Fujimi ones aren’t bad either if you can find one or two, Evil Bay may be worth a trawl.

    Good luck Rich.:D

Nice to see the BBMF or was it BBF in those days? The flight at that time consisted of two Spit XIX’s a Spit Vb and Hurricane LF363.:D
