Today in the 21st century Vietnam is seeking to totally modernise its air force through upgrades and purchase extra fighter aircrafts although they don’t have much money on hand, but even the pilots in the VPAF is getting new flight uniforms, so the MiG-21s in Vietnam still have a bright future.

Now that the Iraqi Coastal Defence Force is created, will the Italians deliver the two guided-missile corvettes moored in Italian port since 1991?
These vessels would definitely help the Iraqis since they wanted to extend their coastal patrols at upto 200 nautical miles. Reports suggest these boats are rusting, but it can be refurbish and upgraded with new instruments for operations in the Gulf, and to combat the Iranian Navy if the Iranians ever violate Iraqi waters.

And THANKS MarcoMirage and google for the images, but could someone supply this thread with pics of Iraqi corvette in Italy? Thank You

According to one Russian source, Vietnamese MiG-21s are much better maintained then that of the Indian and Syrian airforces, in April? Vietnam signed a deal with Hindustan Aeronautic Ltm. (HAL) to upgrade at least 100 of its MiG-21s.

Is it true that during the late 60’s Australia donate the F-86 Sabre to the Royal Malaysian Air Force and the TNI-AU?
If they did how many airframes did Australia delivered?

Well, Australians are racist but if the government ever to decide to deport immigrants back to their own country, the Asians will be the first to go. Asians living in Australia are hard-workers, but never been credited for their hardship, people of European descent can do very little and can get the highist praise from the government of the country.
Technically, Asians don’t have a status in Asutralian society because if Asians do something good, WHITE-Australians don’t care, but when one Asian do something wrong the whole Asian community get the S##T and pointed at for their faults.
Overall Eurpeans blend well into Australian society but Asians get kick around.

As part of a military co-operation between Vietnam and Australia, Senator Robert Hill invited Vietnamese Defence Minister to discuss the possibility of the Vietnamese Special Forces training with Australian SAS, but for now the Vietnamese will be observing.

The good relations between Vietnam and China is only a show for political media, but on the moral side they are bitter enemies, so I doubt that Vietnam will ever buy equipment from China.

    Glen and Ja Worsley,
do you know that the Vietnamese Special Forces will come to Australia to observe the Australian SAS/Special Forces in action?
Beside from observing Australian forces I also hoping that the RAN and the RAAF could help the Vietnamese Navy and Air Force to modernise instead of the Russians. Because Australia is a nation that know how to exploit technology, any help from Australia would be great!

Even if the Royal Cambodian Air Force could afford new aircraft one thing for sure there will be trouble with operating today’s technology, RCAF pilots are not familiar with new technology and the RCAF will also need to train its ground-personnel for aircraft maintenance, which will run into alot of money, and I don’t think the Cambodians could spend that much money.
