Lol No I didn’t :stupid:
That pic of an Adir over Teheran looks fake to me.

And think how vulnerable you’d be with trying to line up on targets.
Yeah and at very low altitude too! I bet running in straight and level at 50m above the ground made the chance of catching that golden BB rather uncomfortably large!
@fedaykin, that makes sense really. Thanks for that 🙂
@Levsha, how much fun would that be? It’s like a meat grinder with wings on. Wonder why it didn’t catch on 😉
Terminal pop up profiles are primarily intended to complicate the ship’s defence solution. If you combine straight in sea slimming and pop ups, the target ship’s CIWS will be more easily overwhelmed.
Even weirder is the utter inability of the current aerospace industry to improve on such an ancient design. From 1914 to 1964:

2014:

Is it just me or is the difference between 1914 and 1964 far bigger than the one between 1964 and 2014?
Most of the aircraft of that era were in service for a very short time. They were designed, prototyped and built in less time than it takes today’s airforce to write a RFP for toilet paper. Aeronautics went from straight-wing-podded-engines 450mph to delta winged mach 2 in a decade! Of course many if not most of the machines built in that era were rather unsafe.
That said. Hawker Hunter.
Phabulous Phantoms Phorever man! Barring that, F-5 for looks and sheer awesomeness. Two engines FTW.

Mig 29A in offensive role ?
oh man, that is just offensive!
Interesting read, thanks for that post mate.
“404 Page not found” Well it is a stealth bomber after all. Those are meant to be hard to find, right?
Nuclear dawn. What a gorgeous pic of a gorgeous aircraft. I have always loved the frontal view of the bone. Had a poster of one on the wall at my bedroom when i was a kid. Mom thought it looked threatening and wanted me to take it down. I loved it. I dreamed of flying with (not in) it. I’d give my left nut to see one perform irl, but besides RIAT they dont do europe much, do they?
lol t-birds giving a more realistic airshow dropping sticks of snakes on the flightline? 😀
