What in hades is that Hustler carrying?
I bet it never occurred to the writers that F-22s are there for an entirely different reason.
So why were the F-22s there then?

From May 2014:
Soooo beautiful :drools:
Despite the rhetoric sometimes getting out of hand, I really appreciate you guys having your discussions re the fine details of this awesome piece of engineering.
Viper’s still one good lookin’ jet if you ask me. Much better than its intended replacement. Somewhere along the line they forgot that “If it looks good, it flies good” still holds true. Russian designers get it.

The NH90 for all it faults shure looks pretty 🙂
nice shop. The pit wouldnt be that straight on a real jet.
Gorgeous aircraft is gorgeous. Almost as pretty as Concorde. Thanks for posting these guys :applause:
so ah.. there’s so little happening on the pak-fa that we’re down to discussing book publishing economics? how interesting!
heh art instead of propaganda. I love how they manage to depict how eery, how uncanny this thing is.
great find victor, thank you for that :applause:
hellduck == best duck 😀 spasibo bolsjoye Sergey!
The fires they set do though.

What is that thing on IN306’s forehead? looks too flat faced for radar, perhaps a staring iir array? If it were aesa radar, wouldnt it be practical and economical to put some radar-transparent aerodynamic fairing over it to lessen the air resistance of the contraption?
Besides, the thing on its chin obviously is a radome. Either way, that thing is interesting as all heck!
i did a bit of a web search on the il-38SD. Globalsecurity.org claims the thing is an ESM array. I dont understand why such a thing couldnt be more aerodynamical.
Those shure are creamy 😀 thanks man!
@gerard, yea thats what i was thinking of. its a maneouver more suited to nuclear weapons because of the inaccuracy.
