Not sure why you cannot understand that IN does NOT have the financial resources to build and maintain three carriers right now. IN will not be able to match Chinese ships one for one.
Its a simple fact.
Clearly, India must complete the first IAC. (Vikrant) Yet, that will take sometime. As a matter of fact the details on the IAC-2 are extremely limited? (i.e. vague) So, who know when construction will start???
About a year ago, when asked about IAC-2, IN Chief had said that (further) aircraft carriers were not the priority right now. Clearly there are other important areas (such as the much delayed P-75i program) which are in dire need of funding. There is much more to a Navy than just three aircraft carrying vessels.
IN has to spend resources on P-75I, base developments (Seabird project and Vizag), nuke subs, more P-8I, etc. P-75I alone will take over $10 bill.
So India will have to make do with Vikramaditya and Vikrant while IAC-2 comes at its own sweet time.
I reckon India would be better off partnering with Japan.
IMHO, Japanese aerospace is currently more advanced than the Koreans while also Koreans will not accept less than 51% ownership of a stealth program.
SK wants to develop their own aerospace sector while Japan just wants a worthwhile replacement for F-15 (/ f-2 ? ).
No IRST … distributed EO system like JSF?
AMCA is supposed to have IRST. Maybe the small bump infront of cockpit is supposed to represent that… ?

Longest-range Mi-8 ever.
So what would the range for that Mi-8 be?
What’s the reason the Fulcrum was never license produced abroad? You would think Iran, India would love to build them domestically.
India had a lot of issues with their Mig-29 in the early years and so IAF did not want to utilize the license.
(Remember IAF was the first export customer for Mig-29).
Whatever it is already doing.
Its a smoke generator. :p

Above pics from BR.
Thanks Stephan.
BTW, do you perhaps know why IAF roundels were not painted onto the trainers?
If that’s the case, why is there any need for separate wind tunnel testing from the Indian side?
There’s no need; HAL is probably just training its engineers with support from the Russians.
India has zero contribution to the design.
Regardless of where AMCA is at relative to KF-X right now, I’d put money on the Koreans reaching IOC first.
Yep, agreed on that.
By the time the IAF decides on a design (they have a lot of foreign brochures to first look at…) and Indian govt provides approval, KF-X would be well into flight testing.
We do ?
Hehehe…. i was also confused about the same.
I think J-31 must have eaten too many jalapenos with his enchiladas. 😀
(j/k)
There will be an FGFA model at aero india but dont expect anything different.
Its the same as PAK-FA with a few modified Indian avionics in it.
Ie, its like the MKI program.
Well, yes, it wont be ready this decade. The design has not been finalized and once the construction approval comes through, it would take at least 10 years to complete.
UK would not be able to build another brand new CVF this decade either (even if they started tomorrow).
I am guessing 2028 is about the time IAC 2 could potentially be ready. Which is not bad since ex-Gorky and IAC 1 will be in service.

France has offered PA2 design to India and since France is the more reliable supplier, i reckon India would be better off working with France rather than UK.
