Just for some whiling away the time while Pipex finally sort out my email access I thought it would be fun to have a look at this in perspective. The F-16 first flew in 1974. That is 31 years. In 1974 I was reading “Airfix Magazine” and 31 year old aeroplanes included the Lancaster! Sea Furies were effectively modern!
Historic starts yesterday, it all depends how you judge it!
In that case a shed load of Cessna 150s and PA28s etc are considered historic!
F16’s…..Historic aviation? 😮 😮 😮
If some French girl jumped on my desk I wouldn’t be sad enough to be talking about it!

erm… not at all really, but since the forum seems to love (or hate) idle speculation in equal measures I thought I might put a different spin on it!
Equate this to nothing more serious than a chat you might have over a pint or two in the pub. The last real world ‘fantasy airshow’ discussion I had resulted in working out a safe crowdline distance to allow a tactical demonstration of a tallboy bomb, professional discreton ought to keep me from revealing the pilot’s name who suggested it 😀
This said, my initial suggestion was pretty much based in the real world, with what feasably could be avalable…
…as I said, it is no more serious in intent than a half explained daydream… but you never know 😉
Oh OK.
And this is informative and factual about Historic aviation how?
Does anyone know why? I can’t think of a single reason for going out specifically to write down these numbers. I’m sure you could find out somewhere whether or not aircraft x visited place y on a specific date if it was of any importance anyway.
Because they like Greek prisons as its the only place they can get some…………..Greek Air Force numbers that is.
And Women shouldn’t be allowed to reverse at any age.
Chipmunk booked in for operation to have a Moggy removed from its……..
I’m not sure luck has much to do with it. Hard work and dedication yes. Luck, no.
Hard work and dedication, and maybe Karel Bos!
So can we all book it at displays for cost price then? or will the lottery fund it to appear at charity shows?
Nope. What type do you wear whilst flying?
Has it changed since your days of student flying?…
I’ve changed mine at least twice.
Do they come with brown stripes, or do you add your own during zoomy takeoffs?…
My brown stripes come from watching others zoomy take offs.
Do airline pilots wear more expensive types?…
From what I’ve heard about airline pilots they normally wear girlie knickers (French), unless they are female, in which case they wear brown paisley Y-fronts.
Have you ever used them to clean your windscreen, replace your pitot cover, or to wipe the oil from the dipstick?…
I have been known to use mine to clean my dipstick in an emergency.
Have your silk ones got escape maps marked on them? Radio calls perhaps…
I have a Stearman driving mate who’s have an escape map from several married woman’s house printed on for use when surprised.

Looks to me like the nose dropped too much in the second roll and he gave the stick a big shove forward followed by a boot full of rudder, out of control in terms of messing up the roll sure but I don’t think it actually departed. The real question is should he have done the second roll?
If anyone is not convinced by Jorgo, go to a CAA safety evening and watch their video of a homebuilt that spun off a zoom climb after take off. Very impressive zoom climb, not so impressive spin and fireball.
If that doesn’t convince you then perhaps the fact that a light aircraft doing a zoom after take off looks a bit pathetic when compared with what mostdisplay aircraft have been doing a little while before. (most showing off seems to be when leaving displays I find).
