Don’t seem to be very useful in my opinion. Such airfields are concealed, but they will not be able to conceal the ventilation outlets and the entrance and exits for the runways (if an underground runway exists).
This means that such airfield would be harder to locate, but once located (IR signatures from ventilation, planes taking off located by AWACS etc) such an airfield is easier to destroy or put out of operation.
Bomb hits on the various ventilation and exits located would cause majot repair problems, and a few large penertrating bunker buster bombs in the general proximity area of the field would likely to collapse the structures underground by the shockwaves alone even if they didn’t hit directly.

This model was shown in the 60th anniversery of Harbin Industrial University, and the model is a 1:100 scale one of Varyag with a modified weapons suite.

Well Mr/Ms smart ass at it again, trying to ruin another thread hey? If you want to know technical details such as these, why dont you give a few answers for me as well hey?
Since you do no blabber talk and “research” all your info so much, why dont you tell me the pressure ratio, the number of fan blades, the number of compressor stages, the weight, the bypass ratio, the specific fuel consumption and the dimensions of AL-41 or F-119? Or even better, how many rivets does MKI have in total?
And “non-official web-sites”? Oh I guess geocity and tripod sites that you guys love to quote some much are official, while Janes, Kanwa, Xinhua net and official manufacturer sites and interviews are not official hey?
Well, if by the smallest of chances that you are not trying to flame and are trying to learn anything at all, I recommend you search this forum and read all the threads related to J-10 and WS-10, Go to acig and read the J-10 and Su-27/J-11 thread there, and go to CDF forum and do the same. Plenty of information all with source there and after that, we talk about it.

No wonder, I see nothing on the other chinese BBS. Yeah, I dont go to DS because I hate the way the board is set out there. But the people from DS usually spend some time at other BBS as well, and still nothing was posted on other forums at all (at least nothing about this at the forums that I go to):o Very weird.

Rick, do you know when did Huitong find out his information about 44th going to receive J-10s first? Because that makes little sense to me, equipping an unit which only has experience in 2nd gen plane with advanced 3rd gen fighter, which the unit has no experience what so ever with, while not to other units already have years of experience with 3rd gen fighters such as Su-27 seems to be very strange thing to do.

That is not 100% confirmed as of yet, but this one is::D

Then I wonder who barged into this thread brandishing his mere wet dream fantasies that he had managed to gather from sucha grand and godly place like BH? And why then does he state things that he can not produce evidence for, and when such evidence countering his arguments supported by facts were produced, he finds no alternative but try to lead this thread into a flame and ****ing contest? This will be my last response to you, and I hope that now the thread can return to its original content, a dicussion about XXJ.

The Chinese have a saying: See a man, speak mans language, see a ghost, speak ghost’s language. When in discussion with people who use facts to back up their comments and use a proffesional approach to their research, I would do the same. But against people who use only mere speculation and fantasy as arguments, I will return the favor.

IguanA: Same as you, I am a Chinese in Down under. I lurked around for a long time before deciding to jump into the fray. 😀
The reason of the hatred those indians have, I suppose, is mostly to do with the 62 war, they still cant accept the fact that they lost (and are wrong in the first place). Returning every piece of captured equiopment to them is a great way of insult I suppose:D .
Of cause there are other reasons, but those would lead to a flame war and that would not be nice now would it?:D

Plawolf: Ignore this pathetic indian with no knowledge what so ever of chinese aviation. Just let him go back to his wet dreams about LCAs anf MKIs. Ignoe him and the idiot will go away, and you dont want to see another thread locked and destroyed by those whose only “knowledge” come from BH?:)

French help and assistance in any chinese developments didnt start till well into the 80’s, and Hans are already operational then and the Xias are about to enter operational stage as well. How could french help and assistance enter the design phase?
Peter SJ I know babelfish sucks, pity I do understand Chinese then hey?:D

P.S. And I hope that SOC you dont start on stating that Chinese Nukes and Hydrogen bombs are developed from “Russian Assistance”:D 😀 😀
