    KJ-2000 = Il-76 AEW
    KJ-200= Y-8 Balance Beam
The one that crashed is the Balanced Beam, as the KJ-2000 radar is made by institute 14, and those who died came from Institute 38 who worked on the balance beam.

That’s an ECM pod. I’ve seen a poster of it with the FC-1 used for the background, suggesting it can be used on that plane. I think it can be used on the J-10 and J-11s too.

Also note the humvee clone in the background (not related to the pod). I think that’s made in Shenyang.

You sure crob? Couse the writing on the pod itself indicate it is a half scale model of a tactical recon pod.

Are these the ones for Egypt or PLAAF???

PLAAF. Eygpt now build K-8E in Eygpt, and these airframes also have the PLAAF insignia already painted.

Both PRC and ROC used the word “martyred”. You can find them in documents from way back describing people KIA as martyred, even before WWII.
In Chinese it is 牺牲 and literally means (ultimate) sacrifice.

All the photos takers i have talked to had at least a brush or two with guards and security personnel.
The most ever done to them was just to confiscate the film of cameras and clear the memory chips of digital cameras. Only 1 case i ever heard of a camera been confiscated and not returned.

But the security work done by them is pretty good and they seem to contact the more prominent photo takers to warn them what photos they must not take.
For example AA actually contacted the various BBS photos takers and asked them not to take any photos during launch of 526, and none can be found.

Just like how you can never find a pic of any of the new PLAN vessels that shows any detail of the underwater structures of those ships. Infact, you won’t be able to find any “during-launch” pic of 168, 169, 171, 525, 526, 886, 887 and all those landing crafts at all.

No they are not. If you had any idea of how life is in modern day China, you will know that getting shot is a pretty far shot with any matter. Literally hundreds of photos of various planes, ships and other equipments of PLA are released on Chinese BBS daily taken by all those different individuals, some clearly with internal clearance, and I am yet to see anyone of them even been punished, let along getting “shot”.

I agree… this is so… well… how can a bid requiring completely new facilities for contruction of surface ships by a corporation with zero surface ship construction experience win?

Could it have something to do with the defense minister, finance minister all from SA? j/k ^^

I agree completely with You … and I think I’m one of the few who most like to see these early concepts ! But this drawing shown here looks very, very much like a “copy-paste” one – esp. if You take a look at the crew rescue capsule – !!

What do You think of the little fighter in the last picture ??? …. can someone translate please !!

    Deino 😉

Well… the caption say this is the model of the side by side PLAAF version concept… very interesting…

Meh… rumour has it something bad happened to 525 and it had been seen returned to Shanghai for majot repair/alteration. Another rumor had it that 526 had also returned to Guanzhou. It is something about the French powerpacks giving trouble.

The original JH-7 did have a side by side configuration design. After all, back then the PLAAF and PLANAF were both involved with the project, while the PLANAF is happy with the tandem seating, PLAAF insisted on a PLAAF version with side by side seating. The failure to produce that particular version for the PLAAF meant the PLAAF later withdrew from the project.
