You see the blue bits between the Carnard and the wing? This runs to the tail and ends in movable flaps. This is how it controlls the airflow over the airframe.
No, cobrato, the pic said that you are to compare the left nozzle with the right, as according to the pic claims, the left is AL-31F and the right is WS-10. So if it is true, this is the CTFE J-11.
The design is old does not mean the airframes are old. I think the Chinese still build them as Y-5s till today. They still fly well, cheap to fly, have good handling, requires small fields to fly in and out of, not bad still.
I thought Olympics is supposed to be free from politics and warfare (and war making machines)…
Moderator alert!
On one hand you say pics huitong posted are old, then you post even older pics which were already posted. If you continue doing things like this, then you are stupid.
jwzjwz2003cn: Then can you stop posting pics from 1yr ago? It is very annoying.
Or this is another 1:1 wooden model for the Minsk or Kiev…
Seems like a much bigger canopy for B compared with A, In A almost only the pilot’s helmet is visible, but in B, even the pilots upper body/chest is visible….
I think boom type means only one plane could be refueled at onece, but with drogues up to three at the same time?
Whoa what is low! Great pics!
Any one here with access to Chinese Publications got the newest copy of Ordinance Knowledge? It is the one with J-10 on the cover. But it also has an article inside that interests me more. According to those who had read it, it is about a new indeginous 30mm chain gun turret for helicopters, and in the article it also specifically mentioned that because of its size, it will not fit on WZ-9s. Really intersted to read that article.
Ahhh… Independence Day… That reminds me that Bill Gates is definitely affilated with the Aliens, heck, they also use Windows OS!
You get what you paid for. For the particular price, you can only get so much quality in it…
