A TPE331-12 is the engine that powers the J32. The J31 is powered by a -10. The -12 is 1020 shp, the -10 has 940 shp.

The earlier Handley page/Scottish Aviation jetstreams were astazou powered, except for the odd conversion to pt6/early Garrett.

    I thank you,

I remember that Miles being based at Woodford for a few summers a few years back. Great sound from such a small aircraft. No such great sounds now at woodford, only the turbofan whine of the mra4 and a few spam cans doing circuits. Oh for the days of Griffons, Merlins and Olympus’s (Olympi?).

    Andyxh558,

Whereabouts at woodford was the canopy frame? And how much of it was there? I take it’s in the heritage centre?

    Cheers,

    Hi Dave T

Nigel is still trading, the yard is only open very sparodically though, as he has a new facility (that has no aircraft related bits) where he now spends most of his time.
Last time i was there (a couple of months ago) he had a couple of RAF Jetstreams in, unfortunately not disassembled but cut up into sections , a sad end.
A true character Nigel , though you would,nt let your granny listen to the language !

Jetstreams cut into sections?! I’ll sob all night now! Let’s hope a few more T.1’s survive. The next thing will be the 125/dominies I bet. I hope the T,2’s from Yeovilton will get good homes too.
