The mound is brilliant as gives clear views over 25 which the runway used most of the time at EGAA. If its 07 or 17 a 5min walk (or 1min car journey) takes you under the approach for both of them. Runway 17 arrivals can be seen from the Hotel itself quite clearly and close enough!

i was given a capain business card called marcus brace who flew for royal airlines and canada 3000 i still have ot to this very day! he gave me it after i sat in the cockpit for about an hour chatting away! i met him on a second flight and he wrote “3 years later” on the back hehe
