RE: WORLDS MOST POWERFUL NATIONS – 2003!!!
ad0nis,
sorry guy but I think you are completely wrong. Well, at least, here in Brazil, we see China as a very friendly country (despite of its relationship with free speech rights and so on). It is one of our mean partners in our space program, and during the ’70s when US refused to sell us any fighter to replace our Gloster Meteors, some pilots were sent to China in order to test the J-7. It was even produced a prototype with instruments in western standards, but finally US gave us some F-5s.

RE: UN security council
Geforce,
Since 1998 Brazil is trying to become a permanent UN security council member but US apparently didnt like much this idea. Every year there are some news about advances in this area, but it seems we still have a very long to way to go until we get our membership card.

RE: GLOBAL DEVELOPING POWERS-2003!!!
Brazil
Despite the fact it has no longer the biggest Latin American economy (now Mexico has), Brazil economy doesnt seem to being suffering much with Argentina´s crisis. Brazilian market is instable thanks to presidential elections in October what made Real (local money) gets underated, but this must be temporary.
The decision about the next fighter seems to be delayed until the next president is known what gives M2K a very big advantage once the 2 favorite candidates says they´re gonna cancel the program in order to favor Embraer/Dassault´s offer. Although Brazilian AF is not much better than others Latin American Air Forces, Brazilian Army and Navy have no equivalents in Latin American context.

RE: What can´t you stand about your country?
Brazil
1. Politians (this includes corruption)
2. Social differences (too many poor people for a country which has the 9th biggest world economy)
3. Urban violence (although I dont live in a city like Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro, some Brazilians are getting much like Colombia).
4. I hate the summer!!! It is too hot here in summer. Thanx God it´s winter now.
5. Burocracy
6. Taxes are really high. One of the biggest in the whole world.
7. Our sunday´s tv programs. Man, it´s impossible that there is any worse anywhere. Thanx God (again) I have cable.
8. Samba, axe and forro. Almost all of our national music styles sux.
There must be much other things that I cant remember right now.
P.S.: I´d like to live in Australia.

RE: If I would get a nickle for each time I have to correct Phantom, I would be a billionaire by now
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 03-09-02 AT 00:45 AM (GMT)]Mixtec,
It seems like finally some American got my point here. When I saw the images of the 3 767s hitting WTC Towers and Pentagon, I wasnt thinking about people dying. I was thinking that 2 of the 3 main bases of US domination (military and economic domination) over the entire world were damaged. I have no hate about any nationality at all. I just hate some governments’ decisions.
Geforce,
I have nothing to say ya but that I´m thank for helping me with my points and that you´re absolutely right in your points.
PhantomII,
There were many acts that your government did that sickened me. A few examples: sanctions over Iraqi and Cuba, its position in fighting against Brazil about our desire in breaking some patents of medicaments for AIDS treatment in order to produce them free for our population and US position in Kyoto conference. Add this to what Geforce, Vortex and I have already said and I guess you´ll can see my thoughts are not that sick at all.

RE: Downloading : how dangerous is it?
Geforce,
Try to delete all unnecessary files, uninstall all programs you dont use and buy some extra RAMs. It really helps a lot. Formatting your computer once a 3 months is pretty good too.
P.S.: I really loved the comments that appears below your posts. All the 3 basic points of living. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

RE: I’ll never forget that horrible day….
Really thanks Geforce! 😉 When we made those commentaries about 11th September we weren´t thinking about Americans (and Europeans, and Asians, and Africans, even Brazilians) dying but about US being attacked.

Vortex,
Well, I prefer dont answer to your last post because I know how sensitive you americans are about 9/11, ok? Anyway, the mean question in this topic is “What were you doing on 9/11 when you heard the news?” not “What did you feel when you heard the news?”, right? My fault in posting a off-topic message, sorry.
