What about the FB-111A used by SAC?
The RAAF used some of them as F-111G’s

Well, if its history can be proven with lifing and modification data right back to manufacture; if there is an Approved Documentation Set with it; if there is a means of industry support out there for maintenance; if there is an organisation out there willing to act as Design Authority; that’s simplistically and off the top of my head before you even get to “finance”! Would be nice, but impossible I would suggest. More chance of the CAA going for it than the MAA I think.

I cannot see how relevent that would of been to what East Kirkby is all about

57 Sqn at EK was one of the assigned squadrons in 1945, don’t know if any of their Lancs were painted as such though?

Hi m3bobby,

The gun was x-rayed last year, and it turned out there was a round in the breech! Unfortunately that meant it had to be destroyed. Thanks for the offer though.

Unless the divers get a lucky break one time they have an opportunity to go down, I guess it’ll forever remain a mystery as to which Hampden this is.
