Great post. Superb pics there.
The AAA per se doesn’t exist anymore. There’s another facility over that way now, not sure what it’s called.

Russ Bannock, Mosquito pilot, still flies floatplanes in Canada IIRC. He was a night fighter/intruder ace with 418 Sqn.
Really nice work Brian.
That looks like a Shackleton to me?
And I hope she makes it to RIAT…..
There are definitely PLANNED to be 3 x 109 / Buchons at RIAT 2010. Serviceability permitting naturally.
Have the Sea Kings moved out?
Definitely smacks of Eastern Bloc with the helo dispersals as they are and ramp at one end. Having looked through Eastern Germany, Poland, Czech Rep and Slovakia on GE and not found it, I can’t be bothered to scout through the old USSR!!
How did you come across the pic REF?
Pardon my ignorance and quick question, but whose is the 109?

I used to liney that jet at Cranwell 89-90. It was coded 61 IIRC, and I remember it being one of our more problematical jets. Hope the current owner is having better luck!!
Well dona all at EK, a great afternoon out. Commentary by Ken was great – witty, informative and, as stated above, he would pause to allow the aircraft to be heard without interruption. Well done Ken, a lesson in how it should be done, and seconded regarding Keith Dennison!!

She looks stunning, well done to everyone involved, you can be rightly proud of yourselves.
