Can’t remember numbers too well, but if you stand with your back to the hangar line looking toward the airfield, 5 would be on the right, LTF in the middle, and 11 on the left, typically facing outwards.
Think each sqn had about 12 or 13 and LTF 5 or 6 but ready to be corrected.
Hi Paul
I have no doubt that we will come into contact with a Mk-5 quite soon, so the advice may well be very usefull!!
Best wishes,
Go for it, top of the range model, electric sunroof, aircon (well, OK pressurisation…), less miles on it and looks a whole lot more attractive!
Spot on mate!
Hey M+R,
Dunno if this is your problem, but when something similar used to happen on the 5A, we used to get the driver to keep the start button depressed, then thump the top right quarter of the left fuselage roundel, behind which was the relay/timer? You’d hear it motor over and then the hairdryer would start!

After further thought, ISTR one or perhaps two jets had the crest on the intake, in sticker format, and another had the 3FTS crest in the same place. No idea of serials or fleet numbers now though.

I used to work on the Cranwell JP5’s, the blue band was plain, no crest on it. Even the two display jets late 80’s [38] and [44] didn’t have them IIRC.
Fluffy, she’s a beaut, top marks to Mr Denney and whoever decided on the scheme.
Happy memories of building the old Airfix(?) 1:72 as a boy. Might have to abuse the company ID card, come up and wander in!
Has GR settled in OK? A mate from the Bat bombers.
Kermit’s Mossie is home. Oshkosh lumbermills supplied much of the specialized wood used in Mosquito construction. Can’t get much more “home” than that. 😀
No no no! HOME HOME mate, she’s wasted over there…………;)
Well, I guess he’d be just the bloke to fund one then!!
Bring it on, and it’s about time Kermit sent his back home to fly again.
YES!!!
Think there are two Lancaster wrecks off Donna Nook actually? LL834 of 550 Sqn North Killingholme is referred to in Uncle Sid’s Lincolnshire Air War, can’t remember the other one.
Seem to remember the tank at Theddlethorpe, still there in the late 80’s?
Nah, sure it’s not Deci.
Bump, anyway.

Not Swanton Morley, the OTHER one!

Does ANYONE have a clue about #82 right? The suspense is killing me!
FF
OK Frank, need a further clue with #82 right!
