Al-21F-3 was widely exported, just check all Su-22M-4 and Su-24MK operators.

Talk about how every bit of Soviet design was copied and/or inspired by something western has been repeated to death until it became a sort of universal truth. In my books authors swear on Klimov RD-33 being heavily inspired by Turbo-Union RB.199 and that N019EA radar is a direct copy of Hornet’s APG-65 and similar nonsense – funny enough at the time of the book release there hardly was more than a dozen of pics of the new MiG-29 available but yes, the western authors knew these fine details about the construction of the engines and radar already… ๐Ÿ˜€ Nothing but pathetic claims, if you ask me..

I think its a very safe bet that lots of espionage was carried out during the cold war, if the soviets needed to steal nuclear secrets to futher thier nuclear arms programs then why not the same for jet engines and other aerospace related programs. I think you’re just going to have to live with it that alot of Soviet/Russian stuff is infact the result of copying and borrowing ideas and solutions found in other countries, don’t worry though they all do it.

the US does not understand societies with a different culture and disregards the advice of allies that do.

What a load of drivel especially the part I have quoted, utter tosh that shows how little you know about the US military. Pretty much an epic fail.

I’m a little confused about the original news posting…they are just conducting wind tunnel tests but this aircraft will be in full production by the end of March…so basically in less than two months? Seems like a rather agressive schedule!

Or domestic propaganda for the uninformed masses? (your average joe in any country wouldn’t know how long an aircraft takes to make through all its various stages)

Pretty much the only people saying the F-22 was better was the USAF and the only reasons they gave had nothing to do with performace.

But who were the others and were they driven by an agenda of some sort, I’m just curious thats all and are there any sources that were involved with both aircraft in the fly off who have spoken aloud about them?

It seems the F-23 was better then the F-22 in all aspects other then agility. What would have made the F-23 better then F-22 in that respect too ? Could the F-23 have become a better multi-role fighter then the F-22 ?
Is the F-23 likely to fit into any future USAF requirement ?

Not having a go at you specifically but i’m always hearing this “F-23 was da best” but i’m left wondering how this is known to be a fact and not just hear-say. Are there any official comments on how the two jets compared in all areas or is it just alot of guesswork?

โ€œDear Iranian nation, your children have placed the first indigenous satellite into orbit,โ€ Reuters quoted President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as saying in a televised message.

Load of crock, there are well known pirate home ports in puntland which house only pirates or their support structure … USN just does not wish to get involved in this trivial task, after all its not Navy who should deal like futile things as piracy on the seas.. we need those Aircraft carriers for club Med cruises .. Let airforce deal with pirates, they got F22s :D:D:D

Are you being deliberatly stupid or is it a natural way to act for you? If you would like to inform of us a navy that does more to combat piracy world wide then the USN please do so if not grow up and stop the pathetic childlike anti American rantings.

I maintain that only the USA & Russia have the capability to bulid an aircraft that has no foreign components.

I thought France had that ability, at least thats what lordassap kept telling us over and over and over.

I am not trying to change anybody’s mind and I do not know what certain contributors get by talking trash.

Seems pretty clear thats exactly what you’re trying to do with the copy and paste propaganda excercise going on above.

What were you doing before aerospace, making guage blocks? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Yes this is quite intriguing, nuclear industry or something equally hazardous where tolerances have to be exact? (though thats what i thought for aerospace more or less)

No going by the Chinese way of things, The PAK FA have to come out first for them to make a replica.

    J 11, J 14, Isreali J 10

I’m really not sure thats the case these days. China has advanced rapidly and will eclipse Russia in most areas in terms of technology research and weapon systems within a few decades if not less.
