So, you must also believe that India will not select an American Types (i.e. F-16IN or Super Hornet) for the MMRCA???

No, I don’t believe they will procure the F-16IN but not for political reason but because the opposition is probably better.

Personally, I think the odds are good that India will at some point get the F-35. Especially, if an American Type is selected for the MMRCA. So, it seems like the Naval F-35 Lightining II. Would be the perfect place for a initial order. So, my question is which model of the F-35 would be the best suited to India’s forthcoming IAC Class Carriers??? That is the STOVL F-35B or the CV F-35C……………….:D

About the same odds as the PAK-FA flying withing the next year I imagine, very very slim.

Just a few points. The first Black Buck raid was at medium altitude and the Vulcan didn’t have to directly overfly the target. The bombs were released some two miles out. The throw weight took them forward onto target.

Thats still pretty much considered an overfly though, if they were at low alt then maybe not but at medium I think it’s pretty much over the top, besides they wouldn’t have turned to sharp either after bomb release so probably went right over directly.

Note 1: A400M, for the Luftwaffe at least, is procured as the principal tactical transport aircraft – hence C-17 are not an alternative, merely a possible strategic supplement to either A400M or an alternative solution.

It’s to big for tactical use, yet to small for proper strategic use also. You wouldn’t use the A-400 to fly from one airbase to another in a conflict zone and you can get better aircraft for strategic operations. Its a turkey.

Keep on “thinking”, at least I do love your detailed answers. Without that we will face a huge gap of aviation details. 😀

I’m not sure why you keep adding the ‘big grin’ to the end of your posts but it only serves to magnify the sillyness.

Thank you for that detailed answer. I agree with you, that all the detailed data given by you, LM and the USAF are correct. Please do not post that for security reasons, they are fantastic and given by colonel ‘advertisement’. Right or wrong, my LM. 😀

Well i think most hold thier, the USAF/Lock Mart version of the facts at a much higher regard then your own version of the facts but if you insist on looking like the village idiot carry on.

Clownish movie! I think it was useful to sublimate American fears via its usual (cheap) propaganda.

The Soviets could have made thier own version, and i’m sure they would have done had they been able to afford it and had the population owned television sets too watch it on.

smart move, and if one day a Shiite gains power, they’ll turn it right back at the US.

Your grasp of the middle East and Shiite power is weak if thats what you think.

It is, as long as we do not have the related details. The claims for a typical mission are well below that and not corrected by LM.
At least when LM is in need of every public support for some extra F-22. 😉

Oh come on now, you’re simply making a fool out of yourself to keep claiming you know better then the USAF or Lock Mart, it really is getting out of control and very very silly.

Here is someone mixing data for obvious reasons. All data posted are numbers from a corner-envelope. They could not be reached at the same time.
For all data related to the F-22 the critical height value is missing always. 😀
The article gives a supercruise leg of ~600 nm in total.

Here we go with the “I know more then the USAF” rambling again.

Oh I see… So now, comparing by size and weight is no longer good enough although that was deemed legitimate some days ago (F-15C vs F-35A you know). How funny…

So lets put it this way : This thread talks about F-22 capabilities only. No other aircraft qualifies, no matter what. If one appears to do so, then twist the question until the only applicable answer is “F-22”.

    Have a good day 😀

What on earth are you talking about?

Behind the scence the U.S. Gov was sponsering Movies like “TopGun” in oder to propagandize the American People to believe the U.S. Military was better than Soviet Military.

Oh well, at least they never had to prove it that they were the better side seeing as the Soviet Union fell apart through sheer incompetence, I wonder how thier version of Top Gun would have turned out had they been able to afford to make one.

ignorance of westerners. They like to believe that Iran is a country where every Iranian woman is covered head to toe in muslim clothes, that every man has a beard, and that most of the houses are made out of clay or in caves and all they do all day is read the Quran.

Do I get to post pictures of guys being hung for being gay or women being stoned to death for looking at a man the wrong way? No because thats not what this thread is about.

CAN WE PLEASE GET BACK TO THE THREAD TOPIC

Looks to me like the plane gained 6,000lbs in weight, but nearly 10,000lbs in thrust. hmmm, improved T/W ratio methinks.

Very interesting, not what is commonly thought.
