Yes, see photo
it is 4 miles with no break in buit up areas to cleveleys but in reality as they are next door neighbours it is zero miles north blackpool to south cleveleys !! it’s blackpool !! if you take that long on the coast rd to reach fleetwood from blackpool i’d book your car into a garage !! even fleetwood is only about 15 – 20 mins drive taking it easy !!
Are you allowed to go that fast on L plates?:D

Chris, have you got a copy of the DVD?
I thought the hangar explosion was a composite of both explosions. Both are shown on the Alan Tomkins footage.
There’s some footage that was shot by Alan Tomkins that’s done the rounds. I don’t think these clips were taken from the DVD of that footage.
You’ve shot that at 800 iso, try 100 iso and compare the results.

😀
This cardboard cutout is used by restoration firms to provide a point of reference at the point where the provenance shoebox weighs more than the specified 7 Lbs and the word “project” can be written on the shoebox.
There are several of these cutouts of Mr Arnold in the UK but an inticipated high demand has prompted an order for 50 more from a printing firm in Halifax for shipment to Burma in September.
Has someone bought Peter? 😮
If you look carefully you’ll notice that it’s a cardboard facsimile of Uncle Spitfire.
It’s amazing what you can pick up on ebay nowadays.
So you might get damp during the flightline walk but it’ll be over in time to enjoy 3 hours of warbirds. That still sounds like a good day out to me.
