Hoping the IWM batttle “Evlyn Tensions” might make a re-apperance
Unlikely, since the IWM traded Z2033 “Evelyn Tentions” to the Fleet Air Arm Museum fifteen years ago.

Mike, the u/c beams are easily inspected on NX664 at Le Bourget when Ailes Anciennes have an open day. http://eternal.flight.pagesperso-orange.fr/wu21/lancastercr.html

Its actually directly head on that Victors look most impressive, menacing is probably the better phrase.
Agreed, it’s certainly got presence.

Ewan, it’s going to look great in the air. Here’s G-ADPS, a Pobjoy Niagara III powered Swallow 2 a few years ago

See post 50 of this thread.
Propstrike, that’s a Hispano-Suiza powered version.
Duxford Sunday 1st February:
Duxford’s other Mess has also been ‘regenerated’ recently. The attention to detail is lacking in only one respect (Spot the error!)
I guess the original photo wasn’t sexy enough until it was flipped. Considering the cost of producing something like this, it’s staggering that nobody notices until it’s installed – or doesn’t care.

Is there a listing of his ‘fleet’ , types, number of examples, that sort of thing ?
Look no further than this excellent book

Available in the UK from here:
Nice one.
I found this inside the cover of a copy of “The Fledgling” by Arch Whitehouse. I’d already got a few of Arthur Gould Lee’s books so I was quite chuffed.

Leave poor Jay alone. I’d be upset too if the US decided to station, at a single overseas base, a force more capable than my own country’s entire front-line fast jet force (which, for Canada, now consists of a grand total of two squadrons of outdated, clapped-out F-18 Hornets). We think we’ve got it bad here, it must be mortifying for the Canadians to see their once-proud RCAF reduced to such a token force. No wonder Jay has become all bitter and twisted. 🙁
Mike, Canada’s saviour will keep them safe……

Geoff.
If I’m not mistaken this was the Battle of Britain film camera ship.
Creaking door, if you want to go straight to the Sunderland it’s as simple as turning left as soon as you enter the building and walking through the door into the hall containing the Sunderland, Lysander and Seagull.
There’s a list of exhibits at MOSI here (Although the Spitfire photo is of the wrong Spitfire): http://www.aeroflight.co.uk/museums/main/museum-of-science-and-industry-in-manchester.htm

So what if the money does get sucked into the RAF Museum general coffers? It’s a good cause and I don’t mind paying a mere fiver for the opportunity. Most people will burn a great deal more in fuel just getting there.
Mind you, paying a similar amount last Monday in Cosford’s restaurant for the worst virtually meat-free sausages I’ve ever tasted – well that certainly wasn’t good value.
