Pagen, you don’t write laws around individuals, however apt they may be as examples. However much you try to extract principles from these examples, they aren’t around to ascertain their motives so you’re guessing.

My opinion has been changed by Having spent the last 6 months dealing with criminals and dreadful crimes
Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t you work in a police call centre? If that’s the case, you don’t actually deal with the criminals or the crimes, do you?

Robbo. I know where your coming from on this, re criminals houses assets seized as a result of the fact they were gaind be the comitting of crimes etc. Yes, sieze their assets to help pay for their keep by all means, but when it,s gone it,s gone.
I dont think that their next of kin should pay, it,s “Probably” not the fault of their next of kin or anyone in their family.
Robbo. What would your feelings be if a drug addict armed with a gun, broke into your house, with just say your 20yrs old son 25 yrs old daughter, your wife and self, and demanded money you just hadnt got, and as a result he happened to have a gun, and it went off and he shot and killed your son, how would you feel ?.Would you still say there is no such thing as absolute proof?.Who would be naive if you still stuck to your statement then?.Lincoln .7
Lincoln 7, fortunately my life doesn’t revolve around responding to your fantasy situations.

How about confiscation of assets for all “life” prisoners to pay for their upkeep?
If they don’t have sufficient assets why not bill their next of kin?
I don’t see why the just should pay for the continued upkeep of the unjust but I’m not wholly comfortable with the naivety of anyone who thinks there’s such a thing as absolute proof of guilt to the point where taking life is entirely justified.

haha i have lived here for 2 years Rob never been there although its only a mile or two away.
It’s worth a trip up there at dawn or dusk, the light dancing over the Cheshire plain is quite a view. When you reach the castle you realise that it’s a great deal smaller than you’d have imagined after seeing it dominating the horizon for so many years, as with many follies, it was designed for effect and it works well. I grew up in Congleton and it’s a landmark that’s imprinted in my memory.
There’s another interesting landmark nearby, the Old Man of Mow, a pinacle of millstone grit left over in the middle of a quarried area.
