Nice one, Nick. 8.5 fps comes in handy now and then, doesn’t it?
Rob
Crackin’ stuff Nick.
Mike, you’ve got to take your hat off to these chaps. When they want to create the illusion of a pole they’ll stop at nothing, not even shrubbery abuse.
To the average person, looking at it from a distance, it might have looked as though she was pole-mounted, perhaps…
…….. the absence of a pole would be but a minor detail in such a cunning illusion.
Right, I’ve had enough of this nonsense, there are more important things in life than this inanity. This forum used to be a place where an enthusiast could come for a bit of informative pleasure, it’s now getting to the point where valued contributors don’t bother to tread. How low does the forum have to sink before it starts to rise again?
Veetwin, whoever you are, you ought to know better.
Snapper, stop teasing the feeble minded.
Stewart, stop being the feeble minded.
92fis, stop preying on the feeble minded as the only people you can engage in a battle of wits.
Feel free to squabble amongst yourselves, there really are more important things in life than this nonsense.
Rob
I think this a test of Moggy’s reaction time. nearly 9 minutes and still unlocked! Moggy, you’re slipping.
I thought I was trying to defuse you from spoiling for a fight. Don’t know why I bothered.
So after taking 9,764 small moments of joy from Webby’s forums you begrudge him a handful of notices that may be of benefit to you? I’d say that was a tad ungrateful.
Rob
Since we pay nothing for this service and (usually) derive a great deal of pleasure from it, if Webby chooses to shove a few notices at the top of the page it’s a bit churlish to complain.
Rob
Welcome back, James. Nice to see you around again.
Rob
I’m relieved to hear that Learning Slowly’s still alive.
It seems to be the flouncing season.
Forgive me for my ignorance, but is it common for spotters to climb over/under/through fences at airbases in this country and abroad to get plane numbers?
You make that statement as though one precludes the other, Robbo.
Do I?
There’s a wide menu to choose from – the options aren’t mutually exclusive.
I’ve never collected numbers, I’ve always been far more interested in the machines and those who flew them.
I suppose I’ve always likened planespotters to those flask-clutching anorak-wearing people who squat at the end of station platforms. Am I wrong?
