He said he’d organise a Pole, though! 😉
I’m looking forward to Wojtek’s visit too. Must remember to put some of this in the boot for Legends http://www.beartownbrewery.co.uk/detail,item_id,12-wojtek.php
I was convinced that the provenance of the fake Andy Saunders would be “Thin but robust”. I felt short changed.
Not a Wellington but a Blenheim..
Read the post, Peter…. what was sitting behind the photographer…
Blenheim V – Bisley.
Andy, have you seen their new website?
there’s just something about Princess Elizabeth that appeals to me, maybe it’s the rarity or perhaps the colour scheme, anyway great that it’s in the UK for a while,
I’d love to get some 1/48 decals for it but it seems no one does them:apologetic:
Nibb, Niall has asked me to post this reply because there’s something up with his account:
“The following 1/48 decals are available for Princess Elizabeth, Warbird Decals 48011 Blue Nose(includes a decal for the Blue Nose as well) available from Hannants and Aeromaster 48-130C Blue Nose Birds of Bodney crops up on eBay from time to time.”
It’s an experimental prop for a Grahame-White Type 21 Scout.
See page 102 of this sale catalogue:
Was a subdued and somewhat cool evening display. But I haven’t been for seven or eight years to one so quite nice to go. Loved the Chippy banner display and Storch antics. Said hello to Pete H. Also the girlfriend now knows and very much likes the noise of a Spitfire. Drive back that evening was brilliant. Did anyone clock the sunset?
The Chippy picked up ribbons and chopped bogrolls. The Super Cub picked up the banner. The Hawker duo was one of the best display routines I’ve witnessed.

More Hawkery? I spotted this against the sunset just before I left

Historic aviation content assured.
Another interview with strategically placed Spitfire book? 😀
It’ll be good to see Princess Liz back at Duxford.

Thanks, it looks like the weather’s going to cooperate on Sunday. The Calidus display is great fun.
I think the Camel’s due to arrive at Old Warden sometime around July this year. It’ll then be covered and painted. The engine was on show at December’s open workshop event.

Sunday’s weather looks pretty good for a change, so why not treat yourselves to a trip to Old Warden.
Thanks, Bill.
