So does the Casa. 🙁
I still can’t for the life of me understand how it escaped the muddled thinking of the IWM’s latest shameful airframe cull.
Probably because two IWM moguls are still arguing about what it is.
Messerschmitt…… Oinkel……. It’s a Messerschmitt……. Oinkel.
Bbmf Hurricane has just taken off.
No sign of any Duxford ” last of the summer wine”
And there was me thinking I hadn’t got a bite 😀

How about a series along the lines of “Last of the summer wine” where a group of old blokes wander around a Cambridgeshire air museum every day? 😀
It was on loan to the FAAM from the Shuttleworth Trust, who sold it to TFC.
I think I’ve fathomed it out. If we rebrand Legends to “International World Flying Legends”, Old Warden to “Shuttleworld Series Airshow” and Masterton to “New Zealand Galaxy Airshow” then they’ll all make the shortlist?
Would you agree?
Rob
No.
No list of the ten best airshows would exclude Flying Legends and Shuttleworth, but the US does tend to get a little parochial about branding things “World” when it really means US.
Thanks, it’s a small part of the Old Warden magic, isn’t it?
Jim, even old aeroplanes need to rest.

How’s the Grumman Wildcat/Martlet gathering pace?
It’s been assembled and is on display pending completion of the Spitfire whereupon work will start on its restoration.

Why don’t you ask the Pantons about using NX611. You get a real Lancaster and some funds go towards her restoration. Win-Win?
Thungs ain’t what they used to be, Mike.
A few years back there was a special forum photo evening in the BBMF hangar (preceded by a visit to see Just Jane taxying and tea at the Petwood). It was a thoroughly enjoyable day out, kindly organised by the BBMF guys, and I relish the thought that it would one day be repeated, now I have a better camera!
Fluffy……? ;):)

That was a really great day out.

But that’s not an Anderson shelter.
Yes, for the sake of a roll of masking tape it could have looked a lot better.
