But those pictures were so poor and grainy that I decided it really wouldn’t be fair to use them.
Don’t worry, aa – Moze has a cellarful of photos like that and never fails to use them – especially when it gets hot in Texas and that makes him what they call ‘ornery’….
Have to give this to aa, as I have this as the Arsenal 2301.
According to ‘Prototypes de l’Aviation Française’, the later delta modification to the same machine was designated SFECMAS 1301.
If I am wrong, please put me right !
Dearie me, it’s gone quiet. Funny thing is, this company made gliders of the other sort (i.e. the boring ones) too…..but here’s another view.
Well it’s at least five days since we had a glider, so, never let it be said that I am narrow-minded……..
Oh dear, I think we’re going to get bogged down in the quagmire of Soviet aircraft designations here…
The NIAI,(or LIG), LIG-10, or SKh-1, or Bedunkovich CX-1, depending on which book you’re reading at the time !
(I’m not an expert on what we call here Acrylic script, but could SKh-1 be the same as CX-1?)
OK, when the Wot Plane thread gets relegated to page 3, you know it’s time to move on !
This is the Albert A-120 R racer from 1929.
OH please.
Thank you, Thomas.
I was not around when this picture was taken…….
SAAB 105 ?
I’ll have to declare OH as I am departing for a short holiday..
Gotha Go 150 ?
Correct, RAB, over to you..
Don’t think this grainy twin will last long, though…..
Think it’s the LeO 21
Well I’ll echo that, Der. I’m a wee bit further away than you and have done Legends twice – great show.
The only thing that inhibits me now, apart from the money, is the thought of that hellish crawl down the motorway wondering if you are going to get to Stansted in time for the flight home !
If anyone knows another way……..
Fascinating stuff. I am perplexed by the A.W. designations and maybe an expert out there can help. The same aircraft is called F.K.12 by J M Bruce, but the machine in the post differs from any I have seen before by apparently having two paired sets of mainwheels in tandem. Is this correct ?
