Thanks for the info. I last saw it 20+ years ago soon after it was flown in, I was told at the time that it couldn`t be flown out again as the runway was too short. I had the opportunity to look around the aircraft and sit in the various positions on the flight deck and have to say it looks in better condition now than it did then.

How old is it? I remember seeing an article in Aeroplane magazine 35+ years ago about a 5/8 scale hurricane.

Personally , i would like to see them restored to factory condition but not concours standard. As well as my interest in WW11 aircraft i also have restored an 1968 International tractor, it has been mechanically been restored to fullworking order and to leave it in its faded and rusty state would detract from the large amount of effort put into it to get it working again, so it has been given an extensive respray.
The same applies to restored aircraft imo.

Any in the north west, it`s like living in a dead zone around here (south Cheshire) . We used to get the Mosquito flying out of Hawarden quite often until it was destroyed in `96. Did get 2 Spits, Hurricane,Lanc and Vulcan last summer doing Chris Evans Carfest nearby.
