I wonder if these restrictions just apply to passenger carrying aircraft.
Maybe due to grade of fire service ?
Really dont know Alan, I was out there in June and had a look around
and I myself never seen anything bigger than a 757 land.
There was only room for two aircraft on the apron at anyone time usallyu a BAE146 and a 757 never two 757s and there was simply not room for them fropm what I could see.
On saying that there was work in progress on the apron area.
Could it be down to the weight on the runway of larger aircraft types, Although this ex pilot seems to think he could have got a 767 in and out no problem.
I did say to him would that be an empty 767 which would make his point pretty pointless but he didnt answer.
is entry still ticket only or can anyone attend, only ask as the last show there was all ticket through workers and family.
I will be down at Broughton to watch MSN1 fly over , quite looking forward to it, as its only for use as an Airbus flight test aircraft.
just noticed 😮
then what about this lady she must have thought she had cheated death not getting on that plane.

she must have been delt a real bad hand if as they say your destiny is written
thats what I thought but then with the reports of the storm I just wondered if may be they had dropped down or climbed and hit something else.
I have been looking all over for the info and cant find it anywhere so maybe he is just feeding me bull.
Just thought I would ask on here as you fellas seem to know your onions.
I have just been talking to a mate of mine who tells me that,
There was some debate early on this morning on BBC News 24 and they had a proffesional speaker who was taken off air half way through as he let slip about something maybe he shouldn’t have done.
He said ”When we found out we were looking for two planes” then stopped and walked off.
The reporter started speculating with this and the fact of where it was it could have been hit by a drug trafficing plane.
Has anyone else seen or heard this on the news today as I can not find it anywhere.
Nice Aircraft I got one one coming back from Toronto with Air Transat but I did notice at the back there was a strange whirling noise right through the flight.
Still I thought it was better than the other big tri jet the DC 10 I flew on.
you can also carry on up the B5125 past the turning for the ind est and a little further up is a Lay by on the right hand side.
Its a way from the field but gives fantastic views over the whole airport and factory area. Its geat for watching the final approach of the Beluga.
well Airbus in Broughton seem to be doing ok as they are still taking on.
I flew with them in 1980 from Manchester to varna and they used a Tu 154
and it was always parked at the furthest gate at the end of T1.
sorry Dan that report is from the pattaya website I just cut and pasted it.
I had not seen or heard of this accident and seen it while reading up on airtravel to pattaya this morning.
Made me chuckle to myself in the fact I will be flying Etihad in a few weeks time from Manchester and the wife got a view of the piccys.
Just about calmed her down now and told here we are on aBoeing all the way
( little white lie never hurt anyone) 🙂
