#269, I take it it was an OTU around Glos / Oxfordshire?
It is Bircotes, a short hop from Finningley.
Re #264, think along the lines of my sign in name!!
#265, North Luffenham Dean, not sure about the craters though. It’s owned by the army now I believe so perhaps they’ve been blowing things up, which they like to do.
That airfield is the former RAF Woolfox Lodge. Some info here
RAF Woolfox LodgeRAF Woolfox Lodge 2
Hope that helps.
What about this one, a bit obscure but very close to a famous airfield. Anyone but cdp206 to answer, he’s been there with me!
#261 Folkingham
About time! Clue, a squadron was based here that achieved it’s fame flying from an expansion period airfield in the same county!
#249 was indeed Wigsley, Notts.
It’s a white flag for me re #241, I’ve seen that outline before though, watch it be somewhere I know………..
Anyway, not a lot left of this one!
Ah I see, we know them as “Duration only” airfields. Still struggling though.
Try this one then Webby!
Webpilot #241, another clue please, and what does H.O. mean?
#226 – Donna Nook? If so there was no runway just a peritrack, part of which still exists. Re #224, it’s not far from Wellingore.
OK Webpilot, you’re too good! 10p to the VTTS if you can get this one!
