I’d like to know more about this… Was there some kind of “gentlemen’s agreement” between the two companies whereby similar, competing models would base their offering configurations on the same number of seats abreast?
What’s the width on the A330? Can it accommodate 9 abreast?
They have been doing so and more since the products inception !
If they have really suggested billiard tables then they are idiots- I can think of few things less suited to do on an airplane than playing pool.
That’s why I doubt Airbus itself has ever suggested billiards as a possibility. Casinos, bars, beauty parlours, praying rooms… of course. There’s unprecedented space available and it’s normal they’ll want to make the a/c as appealing as possible. But billiards? I’d make playing a very interesting experience during take off, descending or turbulence… 😀

More likely ignorance from the general media, or perhaps wishful thinking from airline owners. I very much Airbus would imply or suggest the A380 would be equipped with billiards tables.

I guess they relaxed the regulations in Germany a while ago because I was given metal cutlery in my Frankfurt to Amman flight last Xmas.
About time too anyway.

It’s a matter of opinion I guess. Some people like the 737 better, and some the A320. I’m neutral towards the A320 but have never liked the looks of NG737 so if I had to choose between the two on the looks department I’d go for the Airbus.
With regard to this livery, one could say it was to be expected to look better on the 737. Old and tired goes with old and tired…
😉 Just kidding guys 😉

Oh yeah… the ficticious British carrier that is made to crash by the baddies when they fiddle with the ground altimetre signal or something ludicrous like that, right?

…no just old fashioned and outdated as it makes you think 737.

So you’re telling me, Europe is two hours aheadd of us?
Someone better tell my grandmother that! When she phoned last night it was 10pm her time, 9pm mine, GMT.
Europe is still an hour ahead of us. During the summer we are an hour ahead of GMT, and Europe is two.
