No! I don’t think a different forum needs to be established…
😀
Not familiar with sarcasm
The guy who started the thread is not INdian in any case. 🙂
Well I’m glad we have it sorted out.
Anyway, after years of speculations and precieved US equipmnent
superiority; we have the the test results which show oherwise.
As an aviation enthusiast and as some who got up close and personal with the US Jets i think the topic deserves it’s own forum not only a separate
thread. 😀
The Russian-built Sukhoi Su-30MK, the high-performance fighter being exported to India and China, consistently beat the F-15C in classified simulations, say U.S. Air Force and aerospace industry officials.
Israel has no interst in carrier as it can aleady reach it’s targets with or without
refuling. There was a rumer about an Aegis destroyer but that it.
Although this is what you people might be talking about.
I have to agree, the Kilos are potent weapons! And Yes, it would be a long trip around Africa, although Israel could base it in a new facility at Elat in the Gulf of Aqaba which empties on to the Red Sea, though I must admit that this does sound very unlikely.
While we are still on this Topic, Israel has a Navy base in an island of
Eritrea.
From what i understood srael as intrested in an Aegis class destroyer
not a carrier, to provide Israel with stratigic depth.
If they plan to use it against Iran, then it would probably be a sitting duck for Iranian Kilos. Not to mention it would take it forever to get to the Indian Ocean since the Egyptians would probably never let it pass through the Suez.
Last time the Egyptians tried to nationalize the canal…..
Kilo subs? What your fascination with obsolete soviet weaponary
Pigs will fly in the IDF first.
Israel doesn’t have the money or need for it, not to mention a possible Euro embargo will render them without spare parts during a war, the US will never ever ever sponser it and the Europeans won’t sell it to Israel so not to hurt
their chances of selling it to arab clients. But Israeli jets might meet the
EF someday….
The Dlilah-GL and the New anti tank version of the spike will present in the
upcoming Eurosatory 2004 exihibition.
Erez i was wondering if the 30KG is not a “little light” ?
Are they going to enter serial production soon?
How will they compare to F-15s or SU-30MKK as far as their avionics is concerned?
I grew up in the flight pattern of NAS Moffet Field and my childhood is filled with memories of P-3s over head. It always makes me happy to seee new life for the out growth of the Electra, the first turbine aircraft I ever flew on.

I hope they were not as noisy as the sikorsky ch-53s 😉 that used to fly over
my house.
You are both wrong, they should have bought the Rafael
Any country other France bought the Rafae?l
Actually is Sufa
Syrian pilots have shown many times that they are very capable of inflicting serious losses to the IDF/AF. If ambushed correctly, the plane can be quickly killed by a well flown R-73 armed MiG-29.
There is more to air-to-air combat then the pure specification of the airplane.
And a R-77 armed MiG-29 would further change the game.
Last time they met it was a 100:0 since then i think the Israelis improved
and the Syrians (due to the break up of the USSR) are flying low tech
low maintanance planes. With Israeli electronic warfare i dought that
the Syrian would even know what hot them, just like in the lebanese
war.
i dont think it could beat a Mig-29 with all that stuff in it (conformals and that huge dorsal) i mean in a dogfight.
Camaro
Is that what the F-16I designed to do? anyway with superior Radar and
missiles, i don’t think syrian Mig-29s have a chance.
