Maybe this could be of any help…

Yeah, but it’s not one of those. I would like a picture for a school assignment, but no worries if one doesn’t turn up 🙂
Sorry, overread the ‘V’ in “Sweet Sue V” …
Indeed it was MB614 instead
Not a picture – but while searching I found this

They show up OK when I view the thread. Has anyone else had problems viewing them please?
Sorry WJ244 – as Newforest mentioned….
Am I missing something here? Both examples show blue at the top and red at the bottom of the lozenge shape.
Yes, the infill on the wings and beak look lighter, but the top and bottom colour scheme is the same. (or am I being incredibly stupid?)
Kate
😮
two different examples (red-blue, blue-red)

A 1945 GE photo: RAF Sealand (detail)
Thanks for trying. I tried everywhere I could think of. Baugher’s site might help but you need to know at least the serial year block.
Laurence
The only two C-47 at Baugher’s site connected with Singapore
43-16326 (c/n 20792) to Lalasia Singapore Airways Mar 1947 as VR-SCB.
Bought by Jamair as VT-CQL Dec 1947. Aug 1953 to Indian AF as BJ973
43-48886 (c/n 26147) converted to EC-47P. May have been seen in Singapore in 1987 having come from Vietnam. Broken up in 1989.
🙁
How about Sealand? The railway ran between South Camp and West Camp and there was an aircraft crossing point, but some way from the bridge. West camp was sold off in the sixties.
Some interesting stuff about Sealand and the railways – but not a solution regarding the first post….
