Hi, i`m not sure if anyone is interested but here is a link to a picture of the dreamliner landing at newquay. The aircraft will be flying to newquay quite a bit during june for crew training.

i must say that winston is looking good in his retirement and will undoubtedly be enjoying far better weather than he had at RAF BRAWDY.lovely to see, many thanks.

daniel,there are some lovely shots there,the meteor shots are great i say that because i used to watch it flying regularly when i was in the RAF. here is a pic—

perhaps i can help with an update.as of 3/10/12 the varsity had not yet reached newquay but i was told that it would be any day now.

i`ve obtained a list of aircraft which i think are coming down

super ace,heron,howard 500,dc6,dc3,seahawk,varsity,hunter,canberra,chipmunk,rapid,anson,ace,proctor,prentice,dove,jet provost,pembroke,venom,vampire,meteor nf11,twin pioneer,meteor t7.

there is still a lot of work going on in and around 404 hanger.

i`ll update more when i hear or see something.

hi pagen.
thanks for that.i lit the tailpipe with a very small led torch that had a flip over red filter which i placed right up inside the pipe, and because this was taken at 0100hrs in the pitch dark the long exposure needed produced this result, i was just messing around.

Here we are viewers, some more pics of the hunters AND seahawk. all these were taken at night,long exposures.so that`s why there are not that good a quality.
OZPLANE the 146 is there for disposal,don`t know how long it`s going to be there though

flygirl, as always some lovely photos.having never been to duxford (which will be corrected next year) were these photo`s taken from the crowd line or did you have access beyond that-hope you dont mind me asking.

with all this talk of airbase moving down to newquay,i haven`t seen any date mentioned-or perhaps i`ve missed that but i wouldn`t of thought that it would be anytime soon for the following reasons:- yes a new access road has been built which takes you to the back of 404 hanger, however, a new security fence has been erected around the old tower and the old visiting acraft section building so you can`t walk onto the airfield.and the apron in front of the hanger has just been upgraded to meet caa specifications for 737 aircraft.now with all that work having just been carried out i wouldn`t have thought that the airport would allow static aircraft to fill it up and i can`t see them handing over a section of taxiway either.having seen the picture on post 80, i would have thought that a lot more room would be needed at newquay and that would mean building on one of the adjacent fields and that doesn`t happen over night.
anyway thats my halfpennies worth,i`ll shut up now.but i will say that i am looking forward to see this happening.

hi jdlundin. thanks for your reply. it looks like we have made our minds up. we will be in 2013 going to see flying legends………or maybe waddington…..or yeovilton….or ??????.it seems to change everytime.one thing is certain,we WILL be going to an airshow.

hi blue max.yes it is problems at my end.my internet browser is firefox, this crashes everytime that i go onto the site.however,my wife uses internet explorer which is fine,so i will get to see the site.
