Pagen,on post 189 you mentioned that you will always remember the runways as being 13/31 your not the only one.i went into the helicopter training unit on the airfield and noticed that an instructor had drawn the airfield for briefing and numbered the runways as 13/31,i wonder what his students thought when they took off and saw 12/30 painted on the runways.old habits i suppose

i have to be quick as i´m in majorca ,but i do know that there is an old airframe in a hanger at newquay which i believe is going to be rebuilt,it has been unwrapped and a large cover to stop bird droppings has been erected,i can supply the aircraft number when i get back from holiday.——-by the way it´s scorching out here

I hope you don`t mind me joining in,but when you mentioned that you like jp`s i remembered that i had one scanned on my computer(poor quality)it was taken somewhere around 1978 ish.

here is ours in cornwall coming in on a shout.
i went to dunkerswell airfield,had a flight in a tigermoth,took the controls and flew around, did a loop and then joined on a microlight for photos,clear blue sky and lots of vis.safe landing-it doesn`t get much better::
