A longer exposure helps pick up the ambience of that hall. I have a few shots somewhere where I used the stair balustrade? as a flat surface to good effect (coz I’m not sad enough to carry a t’pod around with me)

Are you pleased with it and is it a god all-rounder? Par example, how does it handle in low light? My existing Fuji is a bit poor in this respect so is a bad tool for sunset displays and dim hangars.

Have thought about a 350 myself but it’s the cost of the lenses that put me off (though there is something attractive about going the whole hog with a telephoto IS in your hand!). Any pointers much appreciated.

EDIT: what you really need is a smelly-vision camera that portrays the smell of hangar 2 – hmmmmmm nice.

Corking! Think I saw that Jumbo fly in years back out of the office window. Thought it was flattened? Yeah I know – mix up.

Is that a chin-turret in the Guppy?

    How do you climb out?

At 80mph and 2000ft at full power 😉

Moggsy and I once witnessed a practice turn-back. (This was the day of the beet incident). Glad Ed didn’t though!

“…at Longbridge, men and women turned out 2,866 Fairey Battles, Hurricanes, Stirlings and Lancasters; whilst at the nearby Austin works almost 500 army and other vehicles were made each week – as well as a multitude of other goods”

Did they have an airfield on-site?

Go to http://www.courtesyaircraft.com/ and click on Inventory. The stuff in there is amazing. Fancy a pretty Harvard 4 in RCAF colours or a shiny silver Sabre with 0hrs SMOH? Cor! 😀

I believe the airframe is original but the engine had to be sourced from elsewhere

Now with FS2006 coming out soon (soon being this summer) I can purchase a quantity and then sell it on at cost price to everyone as if its retailing at £49.99 im hopefuly £39.99 would at least be achievable.

Please post interest here so i can estimate what kind of size i order. Posting a reply wont be an obligation to pay or anything. Should also be able to post it out the day its released.

How do you know there’s going to be a FS2006? Could be a con, gang!
