I’ve got a report that Leicester FC C152 G-BHEN “landed in a field short of 28 during the flour bombing event on Boxing day and ended up on its back. Looks a write off with broken tail, undercarriage, wing ripple etc”

(thanks Marc)
Besides I’m too scared to fly into Coventry – they have big planes there you know 🙁
If you mean the Thomson 737s yes they do, but not most of the the time.
Yet again you’re trying to make us green with your red monster 😀
To answer the question: no.
WANTED: ONE DAVENTRY LOCAL FI TO SIT IN ON PPL FLYING OWN AIRCRAFT. MUST HAVE MAULE EXPERIENCE AND ABOVE ALL PREDICTABLE SPARE TIME. :(((((((
Fc, this situation not unique in any sense of the word. Got to any popular forum and you’ll get the same. No whether the author silently bluffs their way through postings never to let anyone cotton on or start making deliberate erros to cause trouble and mayhem is up to their mentality. All depends which they take the greatest pleasure out of.
We get this sort of thing over on our forum. But we do deal with trouble makers, schizoids and *ahem* fictional authors. Wonder if RW is one of our cast-offs? 🙂
Edited to expand on theme and spell-check.
Windows ME
Due to reasons of crapness, you should bin this like the industry did 😉
Mog, someone we know to love and hate told me that the TAE had a problem with the type of coolant used. They should have been using the type that it was designed for – i.e. Merc A Class but whoever chose an inhibitor that let the engine cook too highly.
Apparently sorted now.
We’re still miles away from that competitive and crucial 140-200hp stage.
With DSL subscriptions now in the region of 3-5 million, that equates to the same number of systems on a public network, i.e. all targets. It’s no wonder that trojans, malware, spyware and viruses are rife!
One has to follow the same standards in protection as if you were managing your connection for a business. There is a nice market of home-users waiting here for the security entrepreneur 😉
The list is quite straightforward:
1. Use Firefox and bin IE. Remove your IE shortcuts just in case you or someone elsereverts to type. If you do find a site that doesn’t work with Firefox, type the URL into the My Computer/Widows Explorer Address bar. Likely that site author has used something proprietary so this will access the site in IE.
2. Use Ad-Aware AND Spybot. The effectiveness in latter though is knowing which Windows processes are genuine. Use the BHO, ActiveX and System Startup sections to examine and disable. Both from download.com
3. AVG Free-Edition version 7. Make sure you dop a full system scan after installing.
4. If on Windows XP, install Service Pack 2.
5. Have a firewall. WinXPSP2 has a good one. Or if you have a dsl router come modem, that properly configured will do.
The benefit of this list is that it is all free AND fully-featured.
Agreed, CFS2 is more fun. I’ll dig it out.
Post has moved to the “under consideration” admin forum where no doubt there’s a 50% chance (as always) his nibs will call me a twonk 😉 :p
Got that and willing 🙂 Could do some formation flying, e.g. stream takeoffs, echelon joins etc
Indeedy John. AAIB is another executive branch of the DfT totally apart from the CAA. AAIB reports are anonymous and provide value for the points you raise. AA as a commerical op should also be compiling safety incidents (however trivial) through their safety pilot and submitting them to the relevant authority. There’s value in this process which can ultimately spot a trend developing.
GASIL and CHIRP are also other good ways of getting anon detail across
Some even go as far as a MOR aiui!
If the CAA do act (wich is very rare) and prosecute, the AAIB findings are inadmissible in court (breaks a key point of law, can’t remember what right now)
I believe FS accesses multiplay finctions through MS’s multiplayer area (zone.com)
Ah, CFS2 but not currently loaded on my system.
I have the master CDs….I think…somewhere…in the depths…of the unsorted….*shiver* CD drawer.
Many have entered….not to return! :dev2:
Got any of the Lightnings on the yard nr Bedhampton nr Portsmouth? Wonder what became of those?
Cheeky get Mog! 😮
Janie, this link will explain things further.
When the Jodel toasted itself, the thicko group leader said it shouldn’t be reported iirc “coz no-one was hurt”. This was after a fuel-leak and loss of power mid-air followed by a fire on the ground just after the pilot stopped and ran away. I had to stuff the above link under his nose. Fortunately the pilot had better sense …
Makes you think what goes unreported. I bet their are pilots out there who are no au fait runing an aircraft, particularly so with the legal systems out there and run scared just in case the big, bad regulator comes knocking.
I wouldn’t rely on Moggy’s help….I have on very good authority that he is a rogue of the highest order 😉
Brakes are a sod esp. if one goes and not the other!
