Agree about the poor lighting at Hendon.

Some of us visited Hendon two months ago. Here’s the post with photos:

Paperwork will take two or three weeks to process by post. In the meantime, you can still solo with a sign off from your CFI. Just make sure they charge you solo rates .

Ah that’s why I got confused.

You should have seen the state that Messenger was in when I saw it last year 😮

The odd typo I can put up with. Lack of tight, critcal editing I can’t. Within the feature articles I would like to see sentances or paragraphs that are either dry or severly tangental to the article cut out. Got to keep the reader interested AND awake!

Go into Wellesbourne Aviation and accuse the instructors of being sleepy ! 😮

    It’s very active thankyou 🙂

Might be there. Got some website work to do and given current forecast for booked Sunday predicts rain, I may hang around for a cancellation and insist on that hour with an instructor.

Hiya Ashley! I’ll have to have a listen to the T-Bird when it’s flying again. Any time this year? Allison J-33 engine presumably?

Okay change it to (red or orange) with (white or silver). This bit is vague mind! The noise was something that really stuck out compared to the rest of the jets flying at the time.

Up to ’90 or so, we would have had regular Jags, Harriers and Tornados. In the latter period concerned F111s out of Heyford tended to stay south. Could still see them winging around if you drove down the Fosse toward Ettington/Halford.

Could be given the number of those around… Just trying to run through my mind a Canberra or JP tear-arsing at low-level. To the silhouette book, batman!

Saw something similar looking later on in life, which was a T3something american trainer. Possibility? More rare I assume though.

About that inheritance…would you like to move out and pass the estate to me now, thus avoiding the death duties? 😉

    Yup A10s stopped the lesson.

    Any more?
