    Yup, take a picnic!

Hamper, selection of cold meats, salad, tartan blanket. Oh, taking one’s Alvis and butler is a must. Have to keep up appearances 😉

Ta! When I get a new desk for my PC at home, I’ll knock a hole in and install it. A sizeable, neigh manly(!) throttle lever for a big engine. 🙂

AIUI, Moggy might not want to meet his former boss at Baggy ( I know a good plastic surgeon anyhooo!)

Cosford sounds cool. Never been. I can go to Baggy anytime because it’s only oop t’road from thee.

Highly educational, fun interesting, goose-bumpingly surreal with many, many other terms I can’t curentrly wax lyrical over. Perhaps my best day out at DX yet (i’ve only ever had three though!). I’d echo all of the above and additionally:

    – Dezz, I got your VHS comp and have yet to play it Thanks for taking the time to write a letter (dezzgram) beforehand describing what it is.

    – Moggy on form with chums Chris and Paul. Thanks for looking after me. :p

    – whoever gave the Hunter throttle I won. Where did it come from and off what airframe? (sorry a bit sad but it’s been asked at work)

    – whoever chose the Anglia film. First time I’ve seen Douglas Bader on camera. What a card!

Now what are the bits in car park on the northside? Besides two 88 guns, there were boxes of wooden crates, some opened expossing a contra-prop and CHT/Oil temp gauges. Shack spares mebbe?

    When’s the next meet?

    I’ll post my pics soon.

So…. 10.30 by the Lanc. I’ll probably drive rather than fly in given the recent spate of misty weather. Mine’s a pint at the RL, Hixton but no more! Even Moggy can afford that :p

Thanks YR. I’ve received a load of e-mail/read aload of forum posts with “save North Weald” along with the URL to the website, but no one states fully why and how. Even then the how section seems to be a bit vague, poss due to the “plan” being 20 years in the future.

I fthe NW campaign organisers are to succeed, they must have their house fully in order. This doesn’t seem to come across to me at least.

Just a general point, esp. in light of last year’s “airport consulation” by the Government. If you are signing a petition, any petition in fact, now that the organisers have got their facts straight first or your signature will count for diddly squat in front of a planning committee.

But I suppose, something is better than nothing?

For the record, NW is well worth keeping open and beats a lot of other outer-London “airfields” pants down and all (or should that be bras off?). 😀

    1. North Weald Airfield will be converted totally into a housing estate.

Give and quote source(s) for this statement.

Sorry, but I’m going to have to ask you to be very precise here. Object to what? (give details as necessary). I know about the campaign so a simple answer won’t suffice.
